- Sting defeated Bobby Roode in the opening match of tonight's live Impact via submission with the Scorpion Deathlock. After the match, Hulk Hogan announced that Roode would defend his title against Sting at Slammiversary next Sunday.

- Also on tonight's Impact, it was revealed that the company would start their own Hall of Fame at Slammiversary, with the inductee being announced at the pay-per-view.
