Harry Smith Discusess His Wrestling Bucket List, Crazy Wrestler Diets, Billy Corgan

Former WWE Superstar Harry Smith was recently interviewed by Kayfabe Wrestling Radio, here are some highlights:

Training with for a future MMA career: "I would like to go to Brazil; there's a lot of good heavyweights, great competition. I'd like to train, if it were possible, under Rickson Gracie? Nothing can compare to him as far as technique wise when it comes to jiujitsu, he's like an angel sent from above to teach the world jiujitsu."

Billy Corrigan's involvement in Resistance Pro: "I was very excited about it, of course because I knew Billy a little bit from before. He'd attend the Wrestlemanias' and he actually became friends with my cousin Natalie... He's always been a big fan of wrestling, and a supporter, and coming from the music industry, I think knows how to attract lot of attention and media with his name. He's got a lot of ideas, so I was definitely very excited becoming the first Resistance Champion, definitely a huge honor. It was funny how a bunch of things kinda fell in my lap when I left the WWE like Resistance."

Crazy wrestler diets: "I know Ricky Steamboat told me one he was doing right before his match with Bret Hart in '85 or '86 from Boston; he said he was getting ready for a photo shoot. He said he'd eat whatever; he'd wake up early in the morning, go to the gym, eat whatever at a Chinese buffet but after noon, he wouldn't eat anything for the rest of the day, at all. At night he might have a can of tuna fish after his match. It would be the same thing the next morning, wake up early maybe, eat a little something, go to the gym, eat whatever, he would kinda cheat on until about 11 or 12 and then after that cut out everything. He said he was a little irritable with the diet at the time; you want to eat, but you'd drop a lot of body fat that way."

People on his "Wrestling Bucket" list: "There's a number of guys? for nostalgic purposes, I wish I could have faced Ric Flair once, but I dunno if that will ever happen, probably not... Kenta Kobashi would certainly be up there, although with his injuries and battles with cancer, probably unlikely to happen too. I always say if I get a chance to wrestle Fit Finley again... Every time we lock horns, magic really happens. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him? maybe Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe are a couple of names."
