Sting On How Close He Was To Signing With WWE, Another Steve Austin - James Storm Connection

- During today's TNA conference call with Sting, Duane Doogan of Wrestling Voice Radio asked The Icon how close he was to signing with WWE. Sting stated that on a scale of 1-10, he had reached a 6 or 7 in previous conversations with Vince McMahon, however last year it was a 9 and he was very close to jumping ship to WWE.

- We noted earlier that Steve Austin and James Storm were in Nashville, TN earlier this week for the CMT Music Awards, and the two even hung out at the Legends Corner bar (photo below). It was also announced today that Storm's entrance theme, single and video "Longnecks and Rednecks" will be the theme music for Redneck Island, hosted by Steve Austin.

"I love my entrance music and to see the response we have been getting with the video and the song at country radio, I am digging this stuff," said Storm. "But, when I got word that they are using it for the Redneck Island theme, now, that is really cool. I really appreciate the fact that it is being so well received and thank Serg Selinas and Dale Oliver for the kick-ass music... And on another note, I hung out with Steve Austin in Nashville last night and we had a ball."

Redneck Island premieres on June 9that 10:00p.m. ET/PT on CMT. You can purchase the music at shoptna.com.
