Hulk Hogan Responds To NEW Controversy

As noted last night, Hulk Hogan has been advertised for the upcoming Northeast Wrestling event at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, NY on September 22nd. Hogan wrote on his Twitter that he was not going to be appearing at the event, stating, "Northeastwrestling on oww forums is very deceptive,I never signed to wrestle for any of these independents,won't be there on Sept 22. HH"

Despite Hogan's tweet, he remained listed on the promotion's website for the show. The promotion had been advertising that Hogan would be making an appearance — not that he would be wrestling — for months. Northeast Wrestling stated on their Facebook page that they have a signed contract with Hogan to appear at the event, and were working to resolve the issue.

Hogan wrote on his Twitter this afternoon that he would in fact be appearing at the show, provided he's medically cleared.

"Now that everything is completely clear like it should have been from day one,I will release the following statement regarding NE Wrestling," Hogan wrote. "I will be in Fishkill,N.Y.on Sept 22nd for a meet and greet only for Northeast Wrestling only if I have my doctors clearance,update soon HH"
