Kurt Angle To Receive HOF Plaque, Says He Will Resolve Issues With Jerry Brisco
As noted earlier, Kurt Angle was inducted in the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Waterloo, Iowa over the weekend. Angle was unable to attend the ceremony to accept the award, which was then auctioned off for $250 by Jerry Brisco. Angle then wrote that he was "devastated" by Brisco's actions, and said that Brisco made a "mockery" out of him.
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame has since stated that Angle will still receive the plaque, and that Brisco got the plaque back shortly after he auctioned it. Angle later wrote that he overreacted and should have contacted Brisco directly.
"Thank You All for Your Support. I Should Have Contacted Jerry personally," Angle wrote on his Twitter. "He Is My friend. We Will Resolve this. No Harm Done. Thk U!"
