More On Hulk Hogan Claiming He's Falsely Advertised For Indy Event, JB Talks Hardcore Justice

- As noted last night, Northeast Wrestling has been advertising Hulk Hogan and a whole host of major stars for their upcoming event at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, NY on September 22nd. Hogan wrote on his Twitter that he's been falsely advertised for the event, stating, "Northeastwrestling on oww forums is very deceptive,I never signed to wrestle for any of these independents, won't be there on Sept 22. HH"

It's a strange situation, as this is the first statement about the show from Hogan, and he's been advertised to appear — not wrestle — at the event for months. As noted in June, the promotion even moved the show from their originally scheduled August 4th date to September 22nd to accommodate Hogan's recent surgery. None of the other talent advertised for the show, which includes Roddy Piper, Vader, Jerry Lawler, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Lita and Matt Hardy, has stated that they are being falsely advertised, and the promotion has been running events for years.

Hogan remains listed on the promotion's website for the event. Northeast Wrestling stated on their Facebook page that they have a signed contract with Hogan to appear at the event, and they are working to resolve the issue.

"Hulk Hogan isn't wrestling he is doing a meet and greet and an interview," the promotion wrote. "This is the first we have seen of this. We have a signed contract. We will contact Hulk and his agent in the am to see what this is all about."
