ROH Parent Company Expands With Purchase Of More TV Stations

Sinclair Broadcasting, the parent company of Ring of Honor, has agreed to the purchase of seven TV stations worth $452.5 million.

Sinclair is acquiring six stations from Newport Television which covers several states including Texas, Ohio, Florida, Kansas and Pennsylvania. Combined, these stations reach 3% of all US homes. Sinclair expects the deal to close by December, which would make ROH TV available in those markets by the end of the year, or the start of 2013.

Sinclair has also agreed to purchase Bay Television, Inc.'s assets including WTTA-TV in Florida, which is valued at $40.0 million. There has been no information on when the deal is expected to be finalized.
