WWE NXT Recap: Raquel Diaz, Richie Steamboat, Slater Vs. Gabriel, More

Tamina vs. Kaitlyn
They lock up and Tamina gets a knee in to the gut and sends her in and hits her with a chop, shades of her father, and Kaitlyn goes on the apron to regroup. Tamina hits an armdrag and Kaitlyn responds with her own leg-takedown. They mix it up in the corner. Tamina uses her power to hit a series of chops for 2. Kaitlyn catches Tamina's leg and goes to work in the ropes. The crowd is silent.
Kaitlyn gets two near falls. Kaitlyn uses the rope to choke out Tamina then uses her powerful legs for a body scissors. Regal says both women can squat 300 lbs. Tamina gets a faceplant in edgewise and they both struggle to get up. Tamina hits a flurry of offense and hits a bodyslam. She tries to go up top but Kaitlyn grabs her foot and hits a side Russian Leg Sweep and applies an armbar that Tamina powers out of. Tamina hits a Samoan Drop and goes up top and delivers the Superfly Splash for the win.

Jinder Mahal vs. Percy Watson
Jinder ducks the lock up and goes behind for a side headlock. He sends Percy and hits a shoulderblock. Percy runs the ropes, leapfrogs Jinder and hits a scissor kick. Percy catches Jinder's leg and sends him in for an armdrag. Jinder sees an opening and regains offense. He hits a flying knee to Percy and gets 2. Jinder goes on a mean streak and repeatedly drops knees on Percy's neck in the ropes. Jinder keeps Percy down and hits a double underhook slam for 2.
Percy mounts a comeback with a backbreaker and a series of dropkicks. Percy picks Jinder up in a bodyslam fashion and just drops him face-first. Percy hits the Heisman (Showtime Splash) for 2. Percy hits a flying clothesline in the corner and whips Jinder in to the opposite corner, Jinder reverses it halfway, and Percy attempts a moonsault but misses. Jinder hits a flying knee and applies the Camel Clutch for the win.
Winner by submission: Jinder Mahal
Jinder reapplies the hold after the bell to add insult to injury.

Richie Steamboat vs. Leo Kruger
Kruger takes his time removing his sash. Regal says it was given to him by Nelson Mandela. Kruger goes to work in the corner but Steamboat reverses with several chops to the chest. Steamboat sends him into the corner and executes a nice and high monkey-flip. Kruger lands all the way on the opposite corner. Steamboat charges in but Kruger scouts him and rolls him up; Steamboat hits his head on the turnbuckle. Kruger takes it to Steamboat as Steamboat sells well. Kruger hits a chop, shades of Richie's dad, to add insult. Kruger goes for a suplex but Steamboat reverses into a small package for 2. Kruger quickly regains offense and hits a nice snap suplex.
Kruger stands over Steamboat and arrogantly plays to the crowd. Kruger gets 2. Steamboat hits an enzuigiri to buy some time. The ref counts both men, Kruger gets up first but Steamboat trades chops from on his knees. Steamboat builds some momentum with chops and axes. Kruger runs around the ring and Steamboat gives chase. Back in the ring, Steamboat hits a lateral splash but Kruger rolls through and on top of Steamboat. Kruger puts his feet on the ropes for leverage and the pin.

-Raquel Diaz Vignette; She Debuts Next
Raquel Diaz makes her entrance, mic'ed. She cuts a promo on the Divas and says she's here to give NXT a makeover.
Raquel Diaz vs. Paige
Diaz immediately hits a drop toe-hold and viciously and repeatedly slams Paige's head on the mat. Diaz gets 1. Paige fights up and hits a couple of clotheslines and a sidekick for 2. Diaz screams, a la her mother with every strike. Diaz catches Paige's boot and takes her down. Diaz picks Paige up in a powerbomb but instead drops Paige, face-first, off her (Diaz) back (Gory Bomb). She gets the pin.

Backstage, Alex Riley asks Aksana where catering is. She grabs his hand and says she can take him there. Cesaro shows up and asks what is going on. Aksana says that Riley was hitting on her. Cesaro says how American of Riley. Riley gives him the advice that you should never trust a girl, especially in this business. Cesaro says he's going to kick his teeth down his throat. They make the match for next week.
Heath Slater vs. Justin Gabriel
JR has joined commentary. The announcers play up the history that Slater and Gabriel share from Nexus. Gabriel hits a leg sweep for a near fall and then a quick armdrag into an armbar. Slater recovers into a headlock and Gabriel counters. Gabriel hits another armdrag and goes back to the armbar. Slater works up and hits strikes in the corner. Gabriel goes to the apron and tries to springboard in, but he slips/Slater pushes him and he falls backward onto the floor. This looked pretty nasty.

Slater is in control in the ring, he gets 2. Gabriel works up from a headlock but Slater hits a neckbreaker for 2. Slater keeps the pressure on. He whips Gabriel in hard and makes the cover but Gabriel gets his foot on the rope. Slater goes back to the headlock. Slater hits a swinging neckbreaker in the ropes and gets 2. Gabriel ducks Slater in the corner and Slater slams into the turnbuckle. Gabriel uses his educated feet to mount offense.
Gabriel hits a sit-down powerbomb and gets 2. Slater hits a vicious spinebuster out of nowhere and gets 2. Gabriel continues to sell the neck. They counter each other and Slater ends up with the upper-hand as he hits a reverse suplex on Gabriel for another 2. Slater hits a neckbreaker off the second turnbuckle for another 2. Slater places Gabriel back on the top corner but Gabriel fights him off and comes off with a hurricanrana into a neckbreaker for the win.
