Weekend Recap: WWE Star Returns This Week, HBK, JBL Teases WWE Return, Khali Update

Here is the latest "Weekend Recap," where we cover some of the major stories from late Friday through Sunday evening that you may have missed.

- Wade Barrett returns to action at this week's two-show SmackDown tour of Tokyo, Japan. He had been sidelined since suffering a partially dislocated elbow on the February 20th episode of Raw.

- Former WWE Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield teased on his Twitter that he would be replacing Booker T on commentary on SmackDown, writing, "I was only debating coming back, not very serious. But after @MichaelCole shows he is still alive and an idiot. I'm coming back! #smackdown." When someone wrote that it needed to happen, JBL replied, "you never know. Just having fun on Twitter, but if job was offered to me-would be very tempting.... Smackdown job would be great, but hasn't been offered so no plans as of now."

- The Great Khali was released from a hospital and is back home in Texas after successfuly undergoing surgery to remove a growth hormone secreting tumour in Pittsburgh last week.

- Chris Jericho and Zack Ryder teamed up at this weekend's RAW live events to face Dolph Ziggler and WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz. Ryder commented on teaming with Jericho on his Twitter, writing, "@IAmJericho was on my birthday cake when I was in 9th grade...tonight he was my tag team partner. #JeriBro"

- The Miami Herald has an interview with Shawn Michaels, who was promoting his show, "MacMillan River Adventures." During the interview, Michaels discussed the possibility of wrestling another match.

"Obviously, I want to do things that will help," said Michaels. "You don't want to bring me back for no other reason. It would depend on what it was. I am not as young as I once was. Do I think about that stuff? Yeah. It's one of those things that I know that I can do it. At the same time I can also drink a six pack and be able to drive home, but do I want to give that a whirl? No.... I do have to give more thought to that kind of stuff. I can't just go in with reckless abandonment. At least at this point nobody has even asked about that stuff, so I haven't really given it that much thought."

Michaels also discussed Steve Austin and Ted Nugent appearing on his show, you can check out the full interview by clicking here.
