Michael Cole Discusses Relationship With Jerry Lawler, Memphis News Report On Lawler (Video)

- WWE.com posted an interview with Michael Cole about his interview with Jerry "The King" Lawler this Monday.

"The fact that I'm going to be able to sit there at ringside on Monday night and really speak with him publicly for the first time since this happened, it's gonna be a really, really emotional moment," said Cole.

Cole also discussed his relationship with Lawler.

"Everything that Jerry and I have been through the past couple of years, um, we've become extremely close," he admitted. "I've worked with him for 15 years in this company. A lot of people don't remember that he was my first broadcast colleague on SmackDown. We've had our ups and downs, but we always talk about how close we've gotten since both of us shared our biggest professional moment in this business together at WrestleMania. That has developed a real tight bond between us that's just gotten stronger over the years."
