WWE SmackDown Results: Brogue Kick Controversy, Barrett Returns, Orton Vs. Sandow And More

We begin with a video of Sheamus kicking Ricardo in the head from RAW. A Tout from David Otunga is shown saying he will address the situation tonight.
Del Rio, Otunga, and Ricardo wearing a neck brace exit the General Manager's office. The opening video is shown. Otunga and Del Rio help Ricardo walk gingerly down the isle.
The crowd boos as Del Rio says he's on the greatest roll of his career. He says he made Orton tap and defeated Kane and destroyed Cena. He says Sheamus' Brogue Kick is an unfair advantage for him; Del Rio wants it banned. He calls Ricardo his only friend and now he may have permanent damage. Del Rio defends the cross arm-breaker and calls it poetry.
Otunga grabs the mic and sips some coffee and says Ricardo has hired him because what Sheamus did was malicious with intent. He sends to a video montage of Brogue Kick Greatest Hits, so to speak. Ricardo holds his neck as he pouts like a sad puppy. Otunga says they just met with Booker T and they demanded compensation and justice.
Booker's music hits. He comes on the stage and says what they talked about was supposed to be confidential. He asks the fans if he should ban the Brogue Kick. They say 'No' and he says it's still legal and he leaves? "Sucka!"
Cole and Josh talk about Kane's attacks on Josh and say Booker fined Kane and Josh is good with it. We go to commercial.
A WWE Rewind is shown of Cody Rhodes and Sin Cara & Rey Mysterio from last week.
Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs. Cody Rhodes & The Miz
Miz starts with Rey and they lock up into the corner and Miz gets in a kick on the break and starts to build momentum. Rey tags in Cara and they use some double-teaming. We go to commercial.
We're back and Sin Cara as Rey double team Cody as Miz pulls him out to avoid the 619. Cody gets in a cheapshot from behind on Rey on the outside and turns things around. Rey makes the tag to Cara who leaps in with a crossbody and a series of faced-paced moves on Cody. Miz tags in and takes over on Cara. Miz hits his running clothesline in the corner spot and gets 2.
Cody tags back in and delivers a delayed faceplant for 2. Cara reverses Cody and drops him. He tags Rey who comes in with a split-legged takedown and gets 2 on Miz. Miz hits a big boot the head of a seated Rey and gets 2. They counter each other several times so quick that Cody comes in and accidentally kicks Miz in the head. Cara takes care of Cody to the outside. Rey hits the 619 on Miz and flies off with the Splash for the win.
Winners by pin: Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara
Daniel Bryan comes across Hornswoggle who wants to hug it out. Then he extends his hand and Bryan shakes it. Hornswoggle stomps on foot and runs away as Bryan does his breathing exercises in pain. We go to commercial.
Otunga and Booker talk in Booker's office. Otunga shows stills of The Brogue Kick on a monitor. Booker tells him he's seen enough and he'll think about making it illegal. Otunga says he'll have to show him more proof of damage. He tells Booker to meet him in the training room.
Josh sends to the video of Daniel Bryan and Kane hugging it out from RAW. It is set to slow music with Cole and Miz' commentary. It turns to 'smiley' music when they hug, then breaks down when they start to brawl.
Daniel Bryan's music hits and he comes to the ring and tries his best to avoid the "Yes" chants. He tries to nicely say "NO" to the fans instead of screaming in their faces. His facials are priceless. We go to commercial.
Bryan does some meditation in the ring as Zack Ryder's music hits.
Daniel Bryan vs. Zack Ryder
Ryder gets a quick near-fall and he rubs it in and Bryan snaps with "No's" and No Kicks. Ryder hits some offense and hits the Broski Boot. Bryan begs off in the corner and apologizes to Ryder and asks for a hug. Ryder hugs him and Bryan locks in the No Lock and gets the tap.
Winner by submission: Daniel Bryan
Bryan reapplies the hold and the ref reverses the decision for not breaking it.
Winner by disqualification: Zack Ryder
The crowd taunts Bryan with "Yes" chants as he goes crazy with "No's."
Randy Orton walks from the back toward the ring. We go to commercial.
Damien Sandow's music interrupts Lilian Garcia. Sandow says it's imperative that he get something off his chest. He says he lost last week to Sheamus but Booker T put him in a match he was not prepared for. He says he still has not been pinned. He talks to the unwashed masses and says he was appalled at their Tweets saying he was a coward. He pauses, disgusted as the unwashed masses 'boo,' and says, "Instead of Tweeting, how about reading?" Randy Orton's music hits.
Sandow asks him what he has to add to the discussion. Randy says he is here to fight. He told Booker to hold his original opponent because he wants to face Sandow tonight.
Randy Orton vs. Damien Sandow
Dolph Ziggler's music hits before they can lock-up and he comes down to the ring with the briefcase and Vickie.
The bell rings and they lock-up with Orton going over. Ziggler joins commentary. Sandow slides out of the ring to take a breather. He gets back in and they lock-up again with Sandow getting in the cheap shot on the break. Orton reverses an Irish Whip and Sandow slides out again. Orton hits a vicious streak upon Sandow's return to the ring. Sandow retreats again and Orton takes his head off with a clothesline on the outside and slams him into the apron and the table. Ziggler stands on the table and taunts Orton which allows Sandow to drive him into the post; Sandow gets 2 in the ring and proceeds to stomp Orton. We go to commercial.
We're back and Sandow is still in control. Sandow hits the Elbow of Disdain but Orton kicks out. Orton moves out of the way of a knee and starts his signature match-ending flurry routine. Orton coils-up and Sandow runs away and is counted out.
Winner by count out: Randy Orton
Ziggler goes to leave and Orton confronts him at ringside. Ziggler talks trash and goes to hit Orton but Orton blocks it and strikes him. Orton throws him in the ring and Ziggler gets the advantage but it is short-lived. Orton coils up but Sandow sneaks in from behind but Orton hits him with an RKO with reflexes like a cat. Ziggler runs up the ramp as Orton stares him down.
We go to Otunga showing X-Ray's to Booker of Ricardo's spine compared with a normal one. He has subpoenaed doctors who will testify as such; he has filed a lawsuit which includes Booker. Booker tells him to get his gear because he has to face Sheamus. We go to commercial.
Triple Threat Tag Team Title #1 Contenders Match: The Prime Time Players vs. The Uso's vs. Primo & Epico
Kofi & R-Truth join commentary. The first team to score the win will be the #1 contenders. Epico hits a beautiful dropkick on Jey and a series of suplexes. Titus tags in and takes care of both Jey and Epico. 3 men, one from each team, are in the ring at a given time. Truth says Little Jimmy said that Cole's breath is kicking like karate.
Jimmy hits the Running Stinkface on Darren Young and a Superkick to Primo and he goes out, he pulls the rope down so Titus goes out, and finally he launches Epico onto both of them. Jey tags in and goes up as Primo stops him. Young drops him and Jey hits a splash on him. Young breaks the cover and throws Jey out to cover Primo himself.
Winners by pin and NEW #1 Contenders: The Prime Time Players
Kofi and Truth stand up at ringside and talk trash as they hold up the titles. We go to commercial.
A RAW Rebound is shown. They show a Tout from Eve from overseas. She thinks the safety of WWE superstars is most important.
Teddy Long and Kaitlyn discuss the Brogue Kick situation and the lawsuit in front of Booker's office. Ziggler and Vickie show up and he wants a rematch with Orton. Teddy says Booker is busy. Teddy says he will advise Booker to make the match for Night of Champions, even though Ziggler is not a champion. Ziggler shows his briefcase and says he may already be champion by then. A Wade Barrett video/graphic is shown and he is up next. We go to commercial.
Yoshi Tatsu is in the ring and Wade Barrett makes his entrance.
Wade Barrett vs. Yoshi Tatsu
Barrett slowly starts to decimate Yoshi. He makes a cover and gets 2. He hits some strikes to Yoshi's side and follows with a headbutt. Yoshi hits some kicks from his back but Barrett ducks a kick attempt and hits a snap kick of his own and a short elbow for a quick win.
Winner by pin: Wade Barrett
Barrett grabs a mic and says that after 6 months away, meaningless matches like that bore him to tears. He says if he isn't instantly thrust into the title picture, then he will make things interesting for himself. He says Wade Barrett is open for business.
Sheamus walks in the back toward the ring. We go to commercial.
A RAW promo featuring Bret Hart from Montreal this Monday is shown.
Del Rio pulls up in a Maserati, still in a suit. He waits for Otunga on the ramp as he makes his entrance. Sheamus is introduced.
Sheamus vs. David Otunga
Sheamus is all-smiles and goes for a Brogue Kick and Otunga ducks it. Otunga gets the advantage and hits a shoulderblock for 2. Sheamus hits his forearms-in-the-ropes spot and connects with White Noise. He starts to pound hits chest when Booker comes out on the ramp. Booker says he has no choice to ban The Brogue Kick. He says to carry on. Del Rio retreats up the ramp with Sheamus keeping his eyes on him. Otunga tries to capitalize but Sheamus hits the Irish Curse and applies a Texas (Four-Leaf) Cloverleaf for the tap-out.
Winner by submission: Sheamus
Sheamus stands tall in the ring.
