Possible HIAC Change If Mysterio Isn't Ready, Edge's New Look, WWE Defends Ad Campaign
- CTPost.com has an article up looking at WWE's new "Five Million Women Watch the WWE" ad campaign. WWE Senior VP of Marketing and Communications told the website that the new ad campaign was not created for Linda McMahon's Senate campaign. He said:
"WWE's digital campaign, which began in September, appears on websites including MSN.com, Fox News, Yahoo News and iVillage.com as well as local news sites — avoiding political coverage — such as Courant.com, ctpost.com and stamfordadvocate.com. The purpose of the campaign is to highlight WWE's commitment to pro-social initiatives. Any implication or assertion that WWE is coordinating with Linda McMahon's U.S. Senate campaign is false; to do so would be unlawful and in violation of Federal Election Commission regulations."
- F4Wonline.com reports that WWE officials are insisting on holding the tag tournament finals with Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes to the point they are considering putting the match off until after Hell In a Cell if Mysterio isn't able to compete next week on RAW. This would mean that Kane and Daniel Bryan won't defend their titles at Hell In a Cell but would still wrestle, likely in a non-title match against Rhodes and Sandow.
- In today's "former star with a new look" post, Edge is now sporting a buzz cut. He tweeted:
"Btw verified finally! So I took a #3 to my head to celebrate as the people who can't get past the hair cut weep lol"
