WWE SmackDown Results - Sheamus Vs. Barrett In Lumberjack Match, Orton Vs. Miz, Team Hell No

SmackDown begins with the opening theme and pyro. We are in Memphis, TN. Josh Mathews is at ringside with JBL. Lilian Garcia introduces The Miz who is in the ring still sporting his stitches. This is MizTV. Miz talks about his title-loss to Kofi. He says he is invoking his rematch clause for Hell in a Cell. Miz welcomes his guests, Team Hell No.
Miz notes their separate entrances. Bryan and Miz insult each other. Miz says he was Bryan's pro on NXT. Miz says Kane is actually the sensible one of the two. Miz says Bryan is the problem. Kane covers Bryan's mouth as he begins to speak and says nobody cares what Miz thinks and if Daniel is the problem, then he is the solution. Bryan says the devil's favorite demon is nothing compared to the world's toughest vegan. Kane says that is like being the world's tallest dwarf and that Bryan has that covered also. Kane and Daniel argue about being the tag team champions. Big Show comes to the ring.
Show says he doesn't have a problem with Kane but with Bryan. He says he doesn't want to hear about 45 seconds anymore. He threatens to knock out Bryan and he hides behind Kane. Kane tells Show that they don't have to wait for their match on Monday. Ziggler comes to the ring with Vickie. He says Sheamus and Big Show are going to beat the hell out of each other at Hell in a Cell and he will steal the show and cash in his briefcase. Ziggler mentions 45 seconds and Bryan tries to change the subject. Everybody argues and Booker T comes on the stage.
Miz interrupts him and says Booker is predictable and he knows Booker is about to make a match. Booker says he is about to make two main event caliber matches. He makes Team Hell No vs. Ziggler & Big Show. Booker says this man will face Miz and walks off the stage?Randy Orton walks out to cheers. We go to commercial.
Miz vs. Randy Orton
The match is in progress with Orton in control. We see Del Rio and Ricardo looking-on from a skybox. Orton hits a nice clothesline and makes the first cover of the match for 2. Orton hits a side suplex and gets another 2. Miz reverses and hits a knee to the gut off the ropes. Miz knocks Orton off the apron and to the floor. Miz' forehead opens up as we take a break.
Matt Striker asks Del Rio for comments on Orton's RKO last week to Ricardo as a message to him. Ricardo asks, "like the message Kane sent to [Striker]?" Del Rio pats him on the chest in approval. Miz has Orton in a headlock rest spot. Del Rio says Orton is afraid of him and he is the new Apex Predator. We go back to the ring as Miz hits his clothesline in the corner. Miz goes up top but Orton knocks him on his butt. Orton hits a superplex, and covers Miz with his back and gets 2. JBL nicely puts over the face that with the week that Miz has had, Orton is still having a tough time beating him. Orton hits a nice standing dropkick and rolls Miz up for 2. Miz comes back with a DDT but Orton kicks out. Orton hits his DDT in the ropes spot and he really needs to name that thing. He coils up but Miz sidesteps the RKO. Orton counters the Skull Crushing Finale and connects with RKO for the win.
Winner by pin: Randy Orton
Orton and Del Rio have a stare-down across the arena. Orton motions for Del Rio to bring it. Del Rio takes off his jacket and Ricardo holds him back as if he's just going to jump down. Del Rio gets on a mic and says Orton his going to do things on Del Rio's time.
Sheamus tells Teddy Long in the back that he wants one more match with Wade Barrett. Teddy says he'll talk to Booker and proposes a Lumber Jack Match. They fist bump and Sheamus seems perplexed and bumps Teddy's fist too hard. Eve is seen listening in the shadows.
We go to a video of Layla talking about her mom succumbing to breast cancer. It is very touching. Misty eyes as we go to break.
Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd vs. Team Rhodes Scholars
Kidd & Gabriel get the jobber entrances. Gabriel & Kidd go for quick tags, taking control of Rhodes. Gabriel flies through the ropes for a suicide dive onto Sandow. Rhodes attacks him from behind and takes control in the ring, tagging Sandow in. Sandow gets 1 on Gabriel. Sandow hits his Elbow of Disdain but Gabriel kicks out. Rhodes tags back in and keeps control. Gabriel makes the hot-tag to Kidd who speeds things up. He hits a dropkick to Sandow for 2. Kidd springs over Sandow from the apron for a sunset flip and goes for a Sharpshooter but Sandow makes a tag to Rhodes in the process and Rhodes hits a Disaster Kick to Kidd for the win.
Winners by pin: Team Rhodes Scholars
Sandow does a cartwheel.
Teddy approaches Booker and Eve and proposes his aforementioned Lumber Jack Match. Eve says she has had that idea since last week and that Teddy stole it from her. Eve gives Teddy a dirty look as she leaves. Teddy picks up an iPad and looks at it as we go to break.
Team Hell No vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big Show
Ziggler & Show get the jobber entrance. Ziggler starts off with Daniel. JBL says Mike Tyson was a vegan but no when he bit Holyfield's ear. Kane and Show tag in and trade shots. Show hits a spear and they both have trouble getting up. Show sends Kane in but Kane sidesteps and tags Bryan who knocks Bryan down to size and delivers No Kicks. Show takes a few and lifts Bryan and throws him to the floor as we go to commercial.
Ziggler is in control of Bryan in the ring as we return. Show tags in and continues to cut the ring off. Show lifts Bryan for a chokeslam but Daniel counters it nicely with a DDT. Show makes it to Ziggler first and Ziggler comes in with aggressive and relentless elbows on Bryan. The tags continue; Show applies a claw to Daniel's kidney. Bryan fights back with forearms but Show drops him in a sideslam. Bryan fights out of the enemy corner and finally makes the hot-tag to Kane. Kane takes it to Ziggler with Show out on the floor. Kane gets a near-fall. Kane motion for a chokeslam in the corner and Bryan tags himself in. Bryan continues where Kane left off and goes up top but Show interferes. Things break down but Bryan applies the No Lock to Ziggler and gets the win.
Winners by submission: Team Hell No
Bryan and Kane watch the replay from the stage and argue about who's the tag team champions. Sandow & Rhodes attack from behind and Kane goes flying off the stage. Rhodes & Sandow stomp out Bryan to a sea off boos.
JBL and Josh discuss things and Josh sends to a clip of Sheamus vs. Barrett from RAW with Big Show's interference. We go to commercial.
We see a video of Antonio Cesaro in out Memphis from earlier in the day. He is in front of Sun Studio. He berates "country bumpkins" like Elvis.
Antonio Cesaro vs. Ted Dibiase
USA chants as we start things off. Dibiase hits a nice dropkick but Cesaro tosses him over the top. Josh talks about the Dibiase Posse. He still does those? Cesaro sends Ted into the steel post and gets 2 in the ring. Dibiase gets an opening and hits a flurry for 2. Ted gets his boot up in corner and comes off the 2nd rope but Cesaro catches him with an uppercut in mid-air. Cesaro hits the Gotch-Style Neutralizer for the win.
Winner by pin: Antonio Cesaro
We go to commercial.
3MB enter the ring as we see some of their recent highlights. They cut a promo. Brodus Clay comes to the ring.
Brodus Clay vs. Heath Slater
Clay hits his move set on Slater and has to deal with the rest of 3MB on the apron. Slater takes advantage and drops Clay for the pin.
Winner by pin: Heath Slater
Matt Striker interviews Wade Barrett in the locker room about his match with Sheamus tonight. Barrett says there is a misconception in WWE that Sheamus is tough but he is really very stupid. He basically says Sheamus wants no parts of him. Barrett warns Big Show also and says that when he beats Sheamus at Hell in a Cell, Barrett will want a repay of the favor. We go to commercial.
Eve has joined commentary as Natalya makes her entrance followed by Layla.
Natalya vs. Layla
Natalya hits a kick to the gut to start things off. They counter each other and Layla kicks her off the apron in front of Eve. Layla makes the mistake of focusing on Eve and Natalya takes over and sends her back in the ring. Natalya gets 2. Layla lands a big kick to the face as Eve speaks and director Kevin Dunn's camera cut barely catches it. Layla gets the pin.
Winner by pin: Layla
Layla and Eve trade looks.
Kaitlyn stares at her phone as Teddy approaches her with Eve's iPad. He says Kaitlyn can do whatever she wants to do with this information. She takes pictures with her iPhone.
The lumberjacks come to the ring as we go to break.
We're back as Wade Barrett makes is entrance and enters the ring through the lumberjacks. Sheamus comes out to stone-faced applause from Big Show at ringside in a hoodie.
Lumber Jack Match: Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett
Sheamus and Wade trade shots and counters to begin things. Sheamus focuses on the lumberjacks and Wade takes over. Barrett is thrown out and the lumberjacks throw him back in. JBL comically rips Josh for wondering what the lumberjacks would do. "What do you mean see what happens? They're going to throw him back in, that's what lumberjacks do." Funny. Sheamus hits clubbing blows to Barrett. Barrett turns things around and sends Sheamus hard into the corner and gets 2 as we go to commercial.
We're back to action in the ring. Sheamus hits a series of axe-handles and a rolling front slam. Sheamus hits his forearms in the ropes spot which he also needs to name like Orton. Sheamus hits White Noise and calls for the Kick. Barrett is pulled out by 3MB and other heels and guarded. Sheamus dives off the apron onto all of them. Sheamus throws Barrett back in. Barrett gets the upper hand and gets 2. Both men slowly get up, Barrett ducks the Kick and clotheslines Sheamus over the top. Barrett goes out to bring in Sheamus himself and a huge brawl breaks out. Barrett and Sheamus end up back in the ring. Sheamus hits a backbreaker across his knee as Kane's pyro explodes and he and Bryan come to the ring and start pounding people. Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick as chaos ensues and gets the pin.
Winner by pin: Sheamus
Kane & Bryan chase Team Rhodes Scholars though the fans. Sheamus celebrates in the ring as Show looks on. Ziggler attacks Sheamus from behind and goes to cash his briefcase in but Show hits him with a WMD and walks up the ramp. Show grabs a mic from the stage and tells Sheamus to wake up and look at Ziggler because he will knock him out and take his title.
