Backstage News On WWE's Survivor Series Changes, Coachman Gets His Own ESPN Radio Show
- Former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman debuted his new weekday afternoon drive time show "Coach & Company" on ESPN Audio yesterday. The show will air Monday-Friday from 4-7pm EST on traditional affiliate stations, ESPN's Radio app, Sirius/XM channel 84, TuneIn, Slacker as well as espnradio.com. Coach commented via press release:
"To say I am excited about 'Coach' & Company would be an understatement, but it's going to be about our entire team ? our production team and the team of fans at home ? who will all have a hand in hopefully making it a successful show. I am very serious about sports, but people can expect above all else a show that is fun. And, with my background in the WWE, I feel I can really bring an entertainment value to the show in a strong way."
- We noted last week that before going with Team Punk vs. Team Foley as the Survivor Series main event, WWE officials were considering Ryback vs. John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title as the main event.
As seen on last night's RAW, WWE made some major changes and booked Team Ziggler vs. Team Foley at Survivor Series as well as the Triple Threat for the WWE Title with Ryback, Cena and Punk.
According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE reportedly changed the matches because they weren't happy with the way the Team Punk vs. Team Foley announcement came off last week and weren't happy with the buzz it was generating.
