- TalkingPointsMemo.com reports that the campaign for Connecticut Republican Senate candidate Linda McMahon has been distributing door hangers that seemingly support President Barack Obama. The door hanger reads: "President Barack Obama and Linda McMahon will fight for us. Vote Barack Obama For President and Vote Linda McMahon For U.S. Senate"
As noted earlier, the McMahon campaign recently ran advertising where she encouraged Obama supporters to split their ticket and vote for her and the President, although the campaign insists that she's backing Governor Mitt Romney. Meanwhile, the President appeared in advertising over the weekend backing McMahon's opponent, Chris Murphy. The ad was the only one that the President has done for a Senate candidate during this election cycle.
