TNA Impact Results: New "Final Resolution" Matches, New Champion Crowned, Velvet Returns & More

We start this week with a recap of recent events involving Aces & 8's, Wes Briscoe, and the Brooke-Bully situation. We go right to pyro and crowd shots. Bobby Roode's music hits and he makes his way down flanked by Kazarian & Daniels.

Kazarian starts off and berates the crowd. He talks about Fourtune. He says that was the past and they are focused on the future. Roode grabs the mic and says when he makes a guarantee, it becomes a reality. He says he will once again be the Champ. They get a loud "You Suck" chant. Daniels guarantees that AJ Styles is going to lose their match and calls him out.

AJ's music hits after a short delay and he comes to the ring. AJ says Daniels has been jealous of him since day one. He says Daniels couldn't beat him on his best day and AJ's worst. Daniels says that lately AJ has been a loser. AJ says Daniels talks too much and tackles him. AJ is stomped out by the 3 men until James Storm and Jeff Hardy storm (no pun intended) the ring. The heels escape. The 6 men will face off later tonight.

-We go to Austin Aries' "controversial" comments about Brooke Hogan from the end of last week's show.

-We go to a promo in the back from Aries. He says this whole thing is about getting revenge on Hogan for making him lose his World Title. He was only pushing Hogan's buttons. He says Bully ruined his plans when he came down last week and cost him the X-Division Title. He wants Hogan to give him Bully this Sunday.

-Samoa Joe walks toward the ring in the back as we take a break.

TNA Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Devon

Devon comes out first, alone, but with a bat. Joe comes to the ring. The bell rings and they circle each other and lock up. Joe backs him into the corner and they reset with Devon getting the advantage. Devon gets in a shot after the break and Joe goes to work with shots and kicks of his own. Joe hits a huge knee drop. Devon pulls the rope down and Joe falls out. Devon sends him into the steps and gets 2 back in the ring. Devon hits a spinning back elbow to keep Joe under control. Devon gets another 2. Devon missed with the headbutt out of the corner and they both get up at the same time and trade shots. Joe hits an inverted atomic drop followed by a big boot and a Senton Splash for 2. Joe hits the Rock Bottom in the corner and applies a rear choke as Devon gets up. A hot blonde gets on the apron and distracts the ref as Doc attacks Joe from behind with a hammer for Devon to get the pin. Several hot girls are at ringside with Doc and they celebrate with Devon.

-Brooke Hogan is on the phone in the back. She is talking to someone she just signed. It's a girl. We go to commercial.

-D-Lo and Al Snow enter the building and talk about what had happened to the missing Snow. Snow woke up in a hospital and had apparently got mugged.

-Mickie James comes to the ring looking stunning in a dress. She gets a "Welcome Back" chant. She says she is not done and will once again be the Knockout Champion. She is interrupted by Tara & her 'boo.' They get in the ring and start to bicker. Velvet Sky's music hits and she comes down to the ring in an equally stunning mini skirt. Velvet snatches the mic from Tara and thanks the fans and says she has missed them. Velvet thanks Brooke Hogan for getting her back in TNA. Velvet wishes both ladies luck this Sunday but says that 2013 is the year of Velvet Sky's next Title reign.

-Robbie E. and Robbie T. are in the locker room. Robbie T. helps him pay his Direct Auto car insurance on his tablet. He didn't know how to work a touch-screen. We go to break.

Robbie E. & Robbie T. vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez

Chavo starts off with Robbie E. and gets the better of him and tags Hernandez in. Hernandez applies a bearhug and then releases him in an over the head suplex. Chavo tags back in and gets caught in enemy territory and Robbie T. gets in a cheap shot and tags in legally to overpower Chavo to the mat. Robbie E. tags back in and gets 2 on Chavo. Chavo escapes with a suplex and tags Hernandez who turns it up against Robbie E. Robbie T. breaks the cover and gets clotheslined out by Hernandez. Hernandez hits a huge tackle and tags Chavo who comes off the top with a Frogsplash for the win.

Joey Ryan comes down the aisle and distracts them on the mic as Matt Morgan attacks both men in the ring from behind. Ryan calls himself the "Big Organ."

-Girls dance on a poll for Aces & 8's in the back. Devon tells Doc to cheer up and then says it's time to throw a dart. VP says not tonight. He pulls out an envelope full of money and says they have a hit for the night. He says, "Money talks. Bullsh*t walks." Two girls caress each other as we go to commercial.

-We see footage from the Gut Check decision from last week.

-We go to Kurt Angle and Wes Briscoe in the locker room. Wes thanks Angle and Angle says he's proud of Garett also. They tell Kurt they have his back tonight in his match against Doc.

-Chavo & Hernandez cut a heated promo on Ryan & Morgan in the back and say it's on for this Sunday.

Kurt Angle vs. Doc

Angle enters the ring as we go to commercial.

Doc makes his entrance, solo. Angle goes right at the big man as he enters the ring. Kurt stomps Doc to the mat and works the left knee. Doc fights back with a massive clothesline and stomps Angle on the mat. Doc hits a huge clothesline that sends Angle to the outside. Doc goes out and drives Kurt into the steel steps and sends him back in the ring. Angle gets a boot up in the corner and comes off the corner with a dropkick to take the big man off his feet. Kurt hits his trifecta of German suplexes but Doc counters the Angle Slam with a big boot but Kurt kicks out at 2. Angle hits another 2 suplexes but Doc holds the ropes to avoid a third. Doc hits a low blow behind the ref's back and hits a clothesline for 2. Angle rolls through a chokeslam and applies the Ankle Lock but Doc gets out and hits the chokeslam for 2. Angle hits the Angle Slam and the straps come down. Kurt applies the Lock again but VP interferes and the bell sounds. Kurt punches him out of the ring but other members of the gang surround the ring. Samoa Joe, Garett, and Wes Briscoe come out to the rescue. Angle says he has a 'pack' also and says the 4 of them will face any four of Aces & 8's this Sunday.

-The announcers talk about tonight's main event.

-We go to Hulk Hogan on the phone in his office. He is talking to Joseph Park. He tells him to contact Al Snow in OVW and if he gets through that, Hogan will consider hiring him. Bully appears and Hogan says he should knock. Bully tells Hogan he wants a match with Aries. Hogan chuckles and says the universe doesn't revolve around him and Aries. He says, "No." Bully says Hogan will say "yes" by the end of the show because he is taking the show over. Hogan tells him to be careful what he wishes for. We go to break.

-James Storm and Jeff Hardy talk in the back. Storm says he has Hardy's back tonight. Storm tells Hardy not to fall into Roode's trap like he did. We hear Hardy's thoughts as the footage slows and Storm walks away. Hardy doesn't know who to trust besides the "Creatures."

X-Division #1 Contenders Match: Kenny King vs. Kid Kash vs. Zema Ion

All 3 men are in the ring as Christy Hemme introduces them. The bell sounds and here we go. Kash hits shots to both men. We see some nice athleticism. Kash gets a double dropkick to the outside as Ion and King mix it up in the ring. Kash grabs Ion's foot and pulls him out but gets a kick to the head from King on the apron. Ion hits a clothesline out of nowhere to King in the ring and gets 2. Kash comes in and attacks Ion from behind. King takes Kash's head off from behind with a clothesline and a flurry. King drops a leg of Kash for 2. Ion and King put on a clinic but Kash breaks the pin. Kash hits a hurricanrana to Ion from in the ring to the floor. King hits a springboard splash to both men on the floor. Ion goes in and flips over the top and takes out both men and lands on his feet. Back in the ring, King hits Ion with a kick to the head but Kash breaks the pin. Kash takes King to the outside and hits a springboard clothesline to Ion in the ring and gets 2. Ion pushes Kash off the top and to the floor. King hits the Royal Flush on Ion in the ring for the win.

Winner by pin AND X-Division #1 Contender: Kenny King

-Bully Ray talks on the phone to someone about Hogan being stubborn. He says he is going to the ring to get what he wants. We go to break.

-Bully Ray comes to the ring with a purpose and a chair. He tosses the chair into the ring and gets in. Bully sets the chair up in the ring and says he isn't going anywhere until he gets what he wants. He says Aries wants the match and so do the fans. Bully sits in the chair and Aries comes out immediately with his own chair. Aries says last time they fought, Aries made him submit. Bully dares him to get in the ring. Aries says he does what he wants. Aries sits in the chair at the base of the ramp. Hogan's music hits as Aries panics and moves around the ring. Hogan comes down to the ring. Hogan says he is going to fix all the Impact business. He says he isn't making the match. Bully looks pissed and disappointed. He is so good. Hogan tells Bully to get out of the chair or he will fire him or kick his a**. Bully gets up and gets in Hogan's face as Aries instigates and Brooke comes down and gets in between them. Brooke tells Hulk to stop. She says maybe "Mark" (Bully) is right. Hogan says they have made this personal and he grants the match. We go to a commercial.

-A Final Resolution card rundown is shown.

Bobby Roode, Daniels & Kazarian vs. James Storm, Jeff Hardy & AJ Styles

The heels enter together followed by the faces, also together. Borash makes the formal introductions. Kaz & Daniels are wearing zebra pants with fanny packs. Kazarian starts off with Storm. Storm gets the upper-hand and tags Hardy in. Kaz back Hardy into the corner and tags Daniels. Hardy overtakes Daniels and tags AJ in who hits a head scissors takedown. Kaz tags in and AJ tags Hardy for some Poetry in Motion double teaming as we go to commercial.

Kaz works over Hardy on the mat as we return. Hardy is able to make it to his corner and tag AJ but the ref didn't see it. Daniels tags in and continues to dominate Hardy. Roode tags in and resumes offense. Roode hits a snap suplex but Storm breaks the cover. More tags from the heels as Daniels comes in, followed by Kaz. Roode and Daniels work over Hardy from the floor behind the ref's back. Roode tags back in and keeps a leaping Hardy from making the hot-tag. Roode hits a vicious reverse elbow to knock Hardy back down. Daniels now keeps away Hardy with the ring cut off. Hardy catches Roode with a Twist of Fate out of nowhere and tags AJ who explodes on everyone. Roode breaks the cover of AJ on Daniels. Storm cleans house. Roode sneaks back in the ring and double teams AJ with Kaz. AJ hits a double DDT on both men and covers Roode but Daniels makes the save. Storm comes in and assists AJ with Daniels and AJ argues with him that he had him. Hardy tags himself in and hits the Twist of Fate on a charging Kazarian for the pin.

Winners by pin: Hardy, Storm, & AJ

Hardy celebrates alone in the ring as Storm and AJ leave and bicker. Aces & 8's storm the ring and attack Hardy as Storm comes back with a chair and clears the ring. Roode smiles and applauds from the ramp. Aces & 8's and Roode give each other a thumbs up and apparently Roode paid them to take out Hardy. Roode says, "It pays to be Roode" as we go off the air.
