Vince McMahon's Official Statement Regarding CM Punk, Stip For New TLC Match Revealed
WWE.com has published a statement from Vince McMahon regarding WWE Champion CM Punk being forced to withdraw from his match with Ryback at TLC on December 16th. The statement noted that Punk suffered a knee injury on RAW this past Monday night, and the surgery he underwent earlier today to repair his partially torn meniscus was successful.
"CM Punk will be in no condition to defend the WWE Title against Ryback at the TLC Pay-Per-View," the statement read. "However, Ryback does deserve a WWE Title match against CM Punk and will have the opportunity in the very near future."
The statement went on to state that The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) will now face Ryback and Team Hell No in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match and that for the first time ever, the match would only be decided via a pinfall or submission.
