THQ Dissolved, The Latest On The WWE Video Game License

WWE video game publisher THQ was dissolved, and the assets were auctioned off. The future of the WWE video game license has yet to be officially revealed, and a letter that THQ issued to their employees earlier today didn't mention the franchise.

However, IGN.com reports that Take Two, the parent company of 2K Sports, has acquired the WWE video game license. According to the report, the deal was done outside of THQ's auction process.

The official WWE Games Twitter account posted the following message this afternoon in regards to the future of the franchise:

"We don't have any details to share yet, but there WILL continue to be WWE Games. Stay tuned for more information and some exciting news!"
