Indy Female Wrestler Upset Trish Stratus Is In WWE Hall Of Fame Before Luna Vachon
WSU and Pro Wrestling Syndicate star "Pryme Time" Amy Lee joined Kayfabe Wrestling Radio this past week. In a nearly 1 hour interview, she discussed if she had been contacted about taking part in the inaugural Beyond Wrestling/WSU Wrestling card, her views on Trish being named for the Hall of Fame and her views on Luna Vachon not being named to the Hall yet. Here are some highlights:
Who she would have faced in a cage match: "Look, it's one thing to mat wrestle; it's another f–king thing to be in a cage. In my personal opinion, there are three women I ever wanted to be in a cage with: Bull Nakano, Peggy Lee Leather and Kong, because I know, if you get in there with them, they're bally enough to go balls to the wall and to the point where you almost rip the f–king cage down to escape, you know what I mean? So you're talking so big m———–rs; some heavy hitters here, and that's really what a cage, like if you look at all of (Ric) Flair's, Flair f–king bumped off all the cage walls, they pulled one another down; I didn't see all that, you know what I mean? And I know they're females but still, they should have been studying tape of what the greatest cage matches were and they should have took the best of each one of them and incorporated it into their match."
About Trish Stratus being named to the hall and her views on Luna Vachon being left out: "It is politics, and Trish did good for herself. She went from being a fitness model to a wrestler and she did a very nice job; believe me, I'm not knocking her. Like I said, I always give kudos when people work hard and bust their ass, I don't knock that; but what angers me is here is f–king Luna (Vachon), she comes from; you had her aunt, her father, her step father, her uncle: they were in the business. She was trained by (The Fabulous) Moolah, who was someone who's in your Hall of Fame and you don't put f–king Luna Vachon in there? God forbid you have her uncle accept on her behalf or her sons to acknowledge her credibility; Oh wait, that's right, back in 2000 you told her she was a great wrestler but she wasn't pretty enough for TV, so you fired her. Oh yeah, I forgot that, she wasn't pretty enough.
"I'm sorry, it just angers me because I just had this argument with someone because they said 'Trish Stratus, she deserves it' and I said 'Not as much as Luna Vachon' what did she do better than Luna Vachon? Did she travel all over the world like Luna? With WWE she (Trish) did, but did she do it under other promotions? Luna did LPW, GLOW, WCW, WWE, she did it when it was WWF, she did do AWA because her and Charles 'Oliver' Humperdink; Humperdink was an usher at AWA for a while there before he started managing and that's how he got his big break, when Luna met him. So, I just sit back and I go 'What?!' It's all bulls–t."
Four or five wrestlers she thinks would be good in WWE: "I would have Rain, Portia (Perez), Mercedes (Martinez), LuFisto. Let me think who else I would bring in. Havok, no; she's not experienced enough. I think eventually I would but I don't think she's? She's really stepped it up, she really has and maybe I would, but I'd keep her on a short leash. I think she's good and I think Sassy Stephanie? you know what, I'd bring in Allysin Kay. I definitely would bring in Allysin Kay. I would bring Tina San Antonio, and Marti Belle. I would bring Mia Yim. To bring some veterans in, I would have her wrestle, I'd have her manage and kind of be like the den mother, I would bring in Malia Hosaka. I would ask her to come in and kind of look over the girls and guide them, work with them and stuff like that. I really would."
