Jim Ross Commentating Today, Randy Savage Petition, Andy Leavine On WWE Release

- Jim Ross will be broadcasting the second quarter of the Boston Celtics – Oklahoma City Thunder game this afternoon.

- Mandatory.com recently filed a petition with the White House to make May 20th, the anniversary of Randy Savage's passing, an official "Day of Remembrance" for "The Macho Man." Savage's brother, Lanny Poffo, told TMZ that he was supportive of the petition.

"The fans will never let Randy Die," Poffo said. "He made it cool to love wrestling."

- As noted earlier last week, Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine is giving pro football another go. FOX Sports has a story about Leavine, who discussed his decision to go for the FIU pro day. Leavine also commented on his WWE release.

"They were thinking one thing and obviously I was thinking another," Leavine said. "It was frustration on my end that did me in. I felt like they had put me in a position to shine and I was getting held back. Granted, there had been a lot of guys ahead of me that had been wrestling for a long time who were getting their shot, which they deserved. But I felt like, 'You put me in this position where you spent millions and millions of dollars to build me up into something.'"

- NBCSports.com also has an article on Leavine's football aspirations at this link.
