Opinion: Without Question, WWE Must Induct Paul Bearer In The 2013 Hall Of Fame

It has been confirmed through WWE.com that Paul Bearer has passed away. As noted, WWE released this statement:

"WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer. Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years. Our deepest condolences go out to Moody's family, friends and fans."

This is indeed a sad moment in the world of wrestling. He was one of the greatest managers of all time, and made the Undertaker the phenom that he is today. Bearer was the perfect mouthpiece for the Undertaker character to get over with the fans, and his dark, eerily bleak image was exactly what was needed to propel Taker to the main-event level.

Paul Bearer makes his WWE debut on the Brother Love Show

I believe there is no dispute that Paul Bearer should be inducted in the Hall of Fame this year. Eddie Guerrero died in 2005, and was immediately inducted into the Hall of Fame the following year. Eddie deserved it, and so does Paul Bearer.

There needs to be some kind of tribute for Bearer at WrestleMania. Perhaps a legendary Paul Bearer "Ooooooh yeeeeees" before the druids come out would be fitting. Perhaps when the Undertaker defeats CM Punk, he could do his normal one-knee pose?but this time, holding an urn in honor of Bearer. Regardless of what it is, something must happen.

Paul Bearer will be missed. There will never be another manager like him, and that is what will always make him one of a kind.

We at WrestlingInc.com give our deepest condolences to his friends and family.
