ROH News: McGuinness Announces New Challenger For Steen, Steen's Title Anniversary Soon, More

- Recently, ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness responded to Steve Corino and SCUM's "declaration of war" on Ring of Honor by announcing that multiple wrestlers who have never challenged Steen for his title will be getting title shots in the future.

He announced that on March 30 in Asheville, NC Mark Briscoe will be challenging Steen, and that on April 5th at Supercard of Honor VII Jay Briscoe will challenge the winner of the Steen/Mark Briscoe match.

- Nigel McGuinness has just announced yet another challenger for Kevin Steen's title. On May 4th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as a part of Border Wars 2013, former World TV Champion Adam Cole will be challenging Kevin Steen (or one of the Briscoes) for the ROH World Championship.

"Adam Cole has stood up for ROH through all of this business with SCUM," Nigel McGuinness said to ROHWrestling.com recently. "Even when they did their best to put him on the shelf in Cincinnati, Adam still dragged himself out to the ring to fight on ROH's behalf. He is the type of man who deserves the chance to be our World Champion, he's shown he has all the tools to do it in his reign as TV champion and when he took on Davey for the title last year. Corino can try to lie himself that Kevin Steen has beaten everyone, they may even believe that to be true, but there is no shortage of men in that locker room who are willing to stand up to SCUM. You fired the first shot of the war in Chicago sunshine, and when Adam or one of the Briscoes or BJ become the new World Champion I want you to remember that Steve..."

- If Kevin Steen makes it through his encounter with Adam Cole with his ROH World Title intact, then he only needs to make it through the Pittsburgh live event on May 11th to reach his anniversary of one year as champion.
