Will Triple H Be Able To Compete At Extreme Rules With Injury?
As noted earlier, Triple H underwent an MRI on his wrist yesterday to check if he had suffered a scaphoid fracture in his wrist, which would have put him out of action for two months. WWE.com posted an article this evening noting that Triple H suffered a carpal sprain and contusion to his left wrist, which is less serious than a scaphoid fracture. According to the story, Triple H will have to wear a splint.
The article is playing up whether Triple H will accept Brock Lesnar's challenge for Extreme Rules next month with his injury, and The Game provided no comment to the website when asked. WWE physician Michael Sampson noted that Triple H will be able to train with the splint on, but will be "cutting it close coming into Extreme Rules, as far as being ready [to compete]."
For what it's worth, the plan is for the Triple H – Brock Lesnar steel cage match to headline the pay-per-view on May 19th.
