Legendary WWE Tag Team Reunites, Former WWE Star Ordained, WWE In Abu Dhabi Media
- As noted earlier, WWE will be returning to the Zayed Sports City International Tennis Complex in Abu Dhabi for three events this October on the 10th, 11th & 12th. Tickets for the shows went on sale today. The Khaleej Times has an article about the tour here, while The National has a short article about it at this link.
- Former WWE and WCW star Marc Mero was ordained as a minister earlier this month in Longwood, FL. Mero commented on the honor, stating, "If someone would have once told me that I would be an ordained minister, I would have thought they were crazy! Life is crazy at times! Live it, love it, embrace it. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be because you only have one life and one chance to do it all."
- Legendary WWE tag team Demolition reunited at this past Saturday's Ultimate Championship Wrestling event in Bay City, Michigan. The duo spoke with MLive.com about their crazy WWF schedule in the 90's. Barry "Smash" Darsow also discussed his son Dakota trying to enter the business, and how it can be harder for second generation wrestlers.
"It's just my opinion, but I think being a second generation wrestler hurts him a little bit," Darsow said. "Companies can only have so many second or third generation wrestlers on the roster, you have to have different kind of characters. For every Randy Orton, there is a Von Erich, a Neidhart or a Rotunda looking to break out."
