Ric Flair Appears At Indy Event, Mick Foley And Former WWE Writer On Broadway, Maria Note

- Ric Flair appeared at yesterday's Wrestle-Jam event at The Colonnade Center in Ringgold, GA. Flair signed autographs at the show, and did not wrestle or speak with the media. WDEF News 12 has a short article about Flair's appearance at this link.

- Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis recently wrapped up her role in an upcoming indie film titled, Army of the Damned. She signed on for another movie, titled A Bet's A Bet, which is currently scheduled for a 2014 release. Here's a synopsis of the movie:

"A Bet's A Bet tells the story of Vince, New England's most successful divorce attorney. To Vince, life is one big competition, and losing is unacceptable. This also applies in his dating life with his love 'em and leave 'em approach. Then Vince meets Jane, who is beautiful, successful and also extremely driven. Together they enter into a series of entertaining wagers with each other where the winner gets to decide the fate of the loser. After all, 'A Bet's a Bet!'"

- The following press release was issued today about comedian Jenifer Bloodsworth, who was the lead writer of NXT, making her Broadway debut with Mick Foley at Carolines on June 2nd. Mick Foley noted that WWE cameras will be at the show.

Bloodsworth, who has more than 17,500 Twitter followers, recently performed to a sold-out audience at the Peoples Improv Theater, where she was the headliner. She is a writer for the PIT's house sketch team, National Scandal and performs on several Upright Citizens Brigade-trained improv teams. She has performed extensively throughout New York City and was invited to perform at the Chicago Women's Funny Fest.

Bloodsworth, whose comedy has been described as "smart and edgy," and Foley met while both worked for the WWE, where he was one of the star professional wrestlers and she was the company's first female writer for shows that included Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. She was a lead writer for WWE's NXT before leaving to try her hand at stand-up and improv. Foley, a New York Times bestselling author, also left to hone his stand-up skills.

According to Foley, the WWE cameras will be rolling during the June 2 performances.

Carolines on Broadway, in the heart of Times Square, is considered one of New York City's hot spots and one of the country's top comedy venues featuring top headlining comedians as Tracy Morgan, Kathy Griffin and Joel McHale.
