The Rock Injury Update, UFC Star Thanks WWE For Partnership, Fast 6 Smashes Records
- The Rock's latest movie, Fast & Furious 6, continues to smash records and exceed expectations. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is headed to a $122 million opening in the U.S., which would be the biggest domestic opening of all time for Universal. It is also the studio's biggest international opening, and the movie is estimated to rake in $280 million worldwide through Monday. The Rock commented on the film's success, writing on his Twitter, "Because of you, FAST 6 breaks box office records ($120m). Thrilled you love the character. More thrilled you love the movie. #HobbsTheBeast"
- UFC President Dana White congratulated The Rock on the success of Fast & Furious 6 ahead of last night's UFC 160 event in Las Vegas, writing on his Twitter, "Congrats @TheRock on the new Fast & Furious out this weekend. Kick some ass in the box office my friend!!!"
