WWE Looking To Recruit Cut NFL Players, Possible Relief For OK Victims

Representing WWE, Jim Ross will be meeting with officials from the NFL Players Association in Washington, DC. Ross is looking to develop a working relationship that could see the NFLPA send players whose football aspirations have ended to WWE for tryouts.

Ross told Alex Marvez and Jim Miller on their SiriusXM NFL Radio show Tuesday night:

"Everybody doesn't make the 53-man roster. Some guys are going to be looking for work, and we've got some job openings. Maybe we can put the synergies of those two entities together and create something wonderful some day."

JR also told Marvez that he has spoken with WWE executives about initiating a relief effort for victims of the Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes this week. Ross lives in nearby Norman, Oklahoma and watched as the storms hit.
