Christopher Daniels Talks Bully Ray Being Insulted, Slammiversary, More
Christopher Daniels recently sat down with The Mike & Billy Show. Here are some highlights from the interview.
His match tonight: "There's a lot of talent in that ring that night. So, it's going to be hard work. Nothing I can't handle."
His thoughts on the recent Bully Ray interview where the interviewer called Ray a mediocre athlete: "What an a**. What a ridiculous statement. What an uneducated statement to make."
How he is able to go so hard at 43: "Well, the truth of the matter is, we've always, all of us in this business, are sort of always keeping our finger on the pulse of fitness and what's new and what helps and what works. The truth of it is, in the last couple years I've been fortunate enough to hang around with guys that help push me and I push them to sort of, be the best we can be, especially when we're on the road. One of them, first and foremost, is my best friend Frankie Kazarian, also my tag team partner. When we're on the road, we're pushing each other to workout, like, first thing in the morning, last thing at night, whatever it is, and we both know that part of the job is hitting the gym. And finding ways to, we both are getting up there in years. I'm a little bit older than Frankie, but we realize that longevity is the key and we're looking for things that are going to prolong our career. We've both gotten into yoga. We've both gotten into full body, high intensity interval training. Things like P90X and one of the things that I use now is George St. Pierre's Rushfit DVD workout series, which is really good. I mix a bunch of different things up."
