More Details On Rob Van Dam's WWE Return

Despite WWE presenting an offer to Rob Van Dam a couple of weeks ago, both parties had been in contact for months prior to his return to WWE. According to a source close to the situation, Van Dam was dealing with Triple H and was open to returning to WWE after WrestleMania, but Triple H's office was slow in presenting an offer.

There was said to be concern at one point in RVD's camp that Triple H was not interested in brokering a deal. Van Dam started exploring other opportunities, both in and out of the ring, before Triple H expressed interest. A deal was quickly made soon thereafter.
