Tommy Dreamer Talks Rob Van Dam's WWE Return, Future Of House Of Hardcore, More

Tommy Dreamer was one of the featured guests on this week's edition of Monday Night Mayhem. Here are interview highlights courtesy of WrestlingDVDNews.com's Aaron Carnevale, MNM's National Correspondent:

What he learned most from his time in ECW & WWE that has helped him the most in putting together House of Hardcore: "Working in the office helped me a lot with dealing with state athletic commissions and insurance. It is more of a headache. It is a lot of stuff where wrestlers just show up, and it is there for you. When you are promoting an event you realize 'Oh wait, I have to go get a ring, and people have to get paid to bring that stuff.' It is just a whole different side of it."

The future plans for House of Hardcore after the event this Saturday in Philadelphia: "This show looks like it is going to be a success, so then hopefully there will be a House of Hardcore 3. I'm not going to sit here and say 'I'm going to be the next TNA or Vince McMahon.' My game plan for this year is 2-3 shows, and next year, if it continues, hopefully strive for 4. I always say that you've got to crawl before you can walk, walk before you can run, and run before you can fly. And I'm still in the crawl stages."

His thoughts on Rob Van Dam's WWE return and if this leaves the door open for other former Superstars to return: "I think it is awesome. What a great surprise! I love the fact that they announced it and that is in Philly too. Him and I are friends, and I think it is a great move for WWE bringing back some guys who have some drawing power and still can go in the ring."

Much more is contained in the interview, including his candid thoughts on being the first-ever "Paul Heyman Guy," more on his his ECW experience has prepared him for operating House of Hardcore, what makes him respect every autograph offer he gets from fans, a candid story about getting an autograph from Bob Backlund and more.
