Backstage News On Randy Orton's Injury, Why WWE Officials Are High On Xavier Woods, More
- Backstage after Tuesday's SmackDown tapings, the reported injury to Randy Orton was not a big deal and some were not even aware that he was hurt. Orton came back out for the dark main event but only came in at the end to hit a RKO.
- The June 17th RAW had 338,000 homes watching on DVR or tape delay while the june 24th show had 361,000 homes.
- There were executives from other sports, including one of the head honchos of the NFL Players Association, at the grand opening of WWE's Performance Center last week.
- WWE had Xavier Woods as one of the people speaking to media at the Performance Center last week. Besides how well spoken Woods is, WWE officials are high on him because he has a PHD. Woods graduated from Furman University while wrestling for TNA and later got his Masters. He's currently working on his dissertation while training in WWE developmental. Even though Woods would be an independent contractor and not an employee, WWE has allowed him to be part of a tuition reimbursement program, which helps out a lot given developmental talents don't make much money.
