Big Show Reveals Big News About His WWE Future, If He Was Surprised About Darren Young Coming Out
As noted earlier, Sam Roberts recently chatted with The Big Show at the recent Superstars For Hope party. During the interview, Big Show revealed that he re-signed with WWE for five more years. Here are some highlights from the chat.
How much longer is he going to wrestle: "I signed a five year deal in February. They have faith in me and that means I've got to step up to the plate and deliver."
How his weight fluctuations throughout the years have affected his wardrobe: "Really, it changes your wardrobe. The biggest thing to help me is I lost a lot of weight when I did the boxing a few years ago. Got back on the road, got injured, put some weight back on. Mainly I decided not to diet anymore. I made a lifestyle change. Lifestyle change in the way I eat, the way I approach exercising, because you can't look at it like a diet. The first three letters of the word diet is die. I gave up the sugar. I gave up the bad carbs. I eat more salmon, more chicken, more fish, lay off a lot of the heavy red meat, not steak three times a day anymore. You know, stuff like that, just eat smarter and change the cardio around. It's worked for me. I've been very blessed, lost 42 pounds. May 29th, I weighed 466."
If he was surprised when Darren Young came out: "I was surprised because I didn't know, but that's never been an issue I've been concerned about anyway. I'm always concerned about performance in the ring and being a better superstar. I like Darren. I think he's a credit, a great superstar, a great young kid. I commend him on his courage for being the first. I mean, that's the thing. Anybody can follow in someone else's footsteps and then find out it's okay. But to be the first one to jump into those uncharted waters shows a lot about his character and his courage and I think Darren's going to find out he's got a lot of love and support from the WWE and the WWE Universe."
