- At Death Before Dishonor XI, after BJ Whitmer announced his retirement, he asked Nigel McGuinness to reinstate Jimmy Jacobs. McGuinness agreed and stated that Jacobs will get a chance to prove himself in a series of five trial matches. If he wins three out of five matches, he will earn a shot at the ROH World Championship on November 15th in Dearborn, MI.
