Why Jack Swagger Missed WWE Tapings, Re-Hired NXT Star Note, WWE Scouting Olympic Hopefuls
- Jack Swagger wasn't on any of last week's WWE TV shows because they were in Canada and he couldn't enter the country because of his recent marijuana conviction. WWE covered it up on TV by saying Swagger was a real American and refused to come to Canada.
- As noted, WWE recently re-hired Shawn Spears to a new developmental contract. Although Spears was with the company for years, he got his new deal based on a good showing at a recent WWE tryout.
- Gerald Brisco noted in a recent interview that WWE has been recruiting Olympic wrestling hopefuls Sunny Dhinsa and Tyrell Fortune. Dhinsa is apparently targeting the 2016 Olympics and has talked about going to WWE after that but has already been brought to Florida for a tryout.
