WWE Main Event Recap (W/ Video): Ziggler Vs. Axel, Gabriel Vs. Sandow, HHH Announces Rematch

Dolph Ziggler vs. Curtis Axel

Ziggler is out first. Axel is accompanied by Ryback who is pushing Paul Heyman in a wheel chair. They watch the match from the bottom of the ramp. "Let's go Ziggler" chant and a deep armdrag from Ziggler to start things off. Ziggler goes into a headlock and then a shoulderblock to Axel. Axel slides to the apron, Heyman shouts strategy. Axel is able to take control and drops elbows on Ziggler's back and sends him into the corner for 2. Axel cranks back on Ziggler's neck on the mat. Ziggler breaks the hold but Axel kicks him back down and scoop-slams him. Axel with an axe out of the corner for 2. Ziggler battles back and connects with a dropkick. Ziggler unloads with punches on the mat. Axel throws Ziggler to the floor as we go to commercial.

Back from a break with Axel in control in the ring. Ziggler gets out of a headlock but misses in the corner and Axel takes advantage with a cover for 2. Axel with a back breaker on his knee for another near fall. Heyman rubs his hands together with a wide smile in his wheelchair. Axel launches Ziggler high in the air and Ziggler hits the mat face first. Axel for 2. Axel slaps Ziggler around and hits a dropkick and covers him for 2.

Axel continues with mat work. Ziggler comes back and sends Axel in but Axel reverses and hits a short clothesline to the back of Dolph's head. Ziggler moves and Axel flies out of the ring on a charge to the corner. The ref counts and Axel makes it in by 8. Ziggler ducks a punch and hits a dropkick. Ziggler with a splash in the corner and mounted shots as the crowd counts along. Ziggler measures Axel and hits a leaping lariat for 2. Axel reverses with a side suplex for 2. Back and forth. Ziggler with a Fame-asser for 2. Axel thwarts a Zig Zag but Ziggler hits an explosive DDT for 2. Ziggler tries to go up top but Ryback interferes. Axel kicks Ziggler to the floor; Ryback clotheslines Ziggler behind the ref's back. Axel tosses Ziggler in the ring and hits a swinging facebuster for the win.

Winner by pin: Curtis Axel

- We go to clip of the HHH interview with Cole from WWE.com. Hunter talks about the fast count from the PPV. He says he will get to the bottom of the "conspiracy." He compares it to Pete Rose's betting scandal. He announces that Bryan will get his rematch against Orton at Battleground for the vacant WWE title.

- Kofi Kingston makes his entrance followed by Fandango.

Kofi Kingston vs. Fandango

Fandango prances around. They lock up and Kingston comes up short. Kofi literally bounces back and the ref calls him off as Fandango reaches the ropes. Kofi with a monkey flip. Fandango goes out to regroup. Fandango takes control with strikes back in the ring. Kofi goes on a flurry. Fandango ducks back to the floor. Kofi dives onto him and mocks him with some gyrating.

Back from a break. Kofi is in control in the ring. Summer Rae jumps on the apron which allows Fandango to capitalize and knock Kofi to the floor. Fandango hooks the near leg in the ring for 2. Kofi fights up from a headlock but Fandango sends him hard into the corner. Fandango with a snap suplex for 2. Kofi goes on a flurry and hits the Boom Drop. The crowd comes alive. Kofi misses with Trouble in Paradise but springs off the ropes with a fist to the face for 2. Kick to the head by Fandango for 2. They trade shots as they get to their feet. Kofi adds kicks and a dropkick. Kofi hits SOS for 2. More back and forth. Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise for the win.

Winner by pin: Kofi Kingston

- The Dusty Rhodes segment is shown in a video package. Josh Mathews tells us that Dusty suffered a dislocated jaw but he is now recovering at home and is suffering soreness.

- Damien Sandow comes to the ring as we take another break. Justin Gabriel is out on the other side of the commercial.

Damien Sandow vs. Justin Gabriel

Gabriel and Sandow trade armbars. Gabriel connects with a dropkick and gets a couple of near falls. Sandow tosses Gabriel over the top with authority. Sandow makes a cover in the ring for a 1 count. Sandow goes on a mean streak of headbutts in the corner. Snap mare from Sandow for another 1. Sandow hits the EOD for 2. Sandow drops a knee across Justin's face and sells his knee. Gabriel springs off the top with a crossbody for 2. Gabriel with a Rock Bottom. Gabriel goes up top but misses with the 450. Sandow hits The Silencer slam for the win.

Winner by pin: Damien Sandow

Sandow grabs a mic in the ring and announces himself as the Money in the Bank holder and guaranteed next World Champion.
