WWE NXT Recap: 8 Man Tag Team Match, Zayn Vs. Hawkins, Aiden English Vs. Michael Cuellari

Sami Zayn vs. Curt Hawkins

They lock up and Hawkins backs Zayn to the corner. The ref breaks the hold. Zayn locks in a waist lock. They chain wrestle and Hawkins backs Zayn into the corner, releasing a submission from Zayn. Zayn hits a trio of arm drags. He chops Hawkins in the corner. Zayn sends Hawkins to another corner and punches him in the head nine times. Zayn snapmares Hawkins and gets a pin. He locks in Hawkins's head.

Hawkins gets out and they trade counters. Hawkins lands a body slam. Hawkins with an elbow drop. Hawkins chokes Zayn on the rope. He kicks Zayn in the small of his back and gets a one count. Hawkins locks in Zayn's head. Zayn fights out but Hawkins gets a shoulder knockdown. Zayn gets a dropkick. Hawkins cowers on the ropes. Zayn approaches and Hawkins sends him to the apron.

Zayn drives his shoulder into Hawkins through the ropes. Hawkins sends Zayn into the ring post, sending Zayn to the outside. Back from commercial and Hawkins gets a vertical Suplex. Hawkins locks in Zayn's head on the mat. Zayn gets to his feet and lands head strikes. Hawkins slides to the outside and trips up Zayn. Hawkins gets back in and kicks Zayn in the head. He then strikes Zayn in the chest on the mat.

Zayn gets to his feet and they both attempt clotheslines, colliding with each other. They both get to their feet and Zayn lands several clotheslines. Zayn hits a dropkick. He goes for a boot in the corner, but Hawkins moves. Zayn goes up top and hits a crossbody for a near pin fall. Hawkins comes back with a kick to the back of Zayn's neck. Hawkins hits an Impaler DDT. Hawkins charges Zayn in the corner, but Zayn puts a boot up.

Hawkins hits a big move, not sure what it was, and gets a near pin fall. He slaps Zayn in the face multiple times on the mat. Zayn battles to his feet with multiple strikes. Zayn hits his running boot to the face, followed by his wrist lock tornado DDT from up top for the win.

Winner: Sami Zayn

Aiden English then comes out on the stage and says he's the only genuine artist to cross over to the stage. He then sings as he comes down to the ring.

Aiden English vs. Michael Cuellari

They tie up and English slaps Cuellari. English hits a big knee to the gut. He kicks Cuellari and hits a big clothesline. He punches Cuellari multiple times in the head on the mat. English hits a standing leg drop. He then slams Cuellari to the mat for the win.

Winner: Aiden English

English picks up the mic again and sings.

Bo Dallas is then backstage talking to someone on the phone. Renee Young walks up and asks if she can ask a question. Dallas says he was leaving a message for his bolievers on the new Bo Dallas hotline that's testing in places like Bolivia. Young asks about how Dallas said Zayn hasn't earned a title shot last week. Young asks if after Zayn's win earlier, Dallas thinks he deserves a shot. Dallas says Zayn has to win a match against someone credible. He says he may have come up with an idea to see who gets a shot. Young asks him to elaborate, but Dallas says he's late for a ribbon cutting ceremony. He says he'll make the announcement next week.

Tyler Breeze, Leo Kruger and The Ascension vs. Xavier Woods, CJ Parker, Corey Graves and Adrian Neville

Neville and Victor start things off. Neville gets an arm drag. Graves comes in and goes to work on Victor's arm. Parker comes in and drops an elbow on Victor's arm. Woods comes in and also works on Victor's arm. Neville comes in, but Victor backs Neville to his corner via Neville's hair. Kruger comes in and goes to work on Neville's arm. Neville's flips about and gets out. The faces exchange quick tags for several minutes, all working on Kruger's arm.

Graves hits Kruger with a dropkick and then hits an arm drag. He locks Kruger's arm back in. Kruger fights to his feet and knees Graves in the gut. Conor comes in and kicks Graves in the gut, in the corner multiple times. The crowd is chanting We Want Breeze! Kruger comes in and Conor holds Graves's arms behind his back. He hits Graves in the stomach and whips him to the corner. Kruger kicks and strikes Graves. Victor comes in.

Victor kicks Graves in the head. The crowd is chanting for Breeze again. Graves battles out of the corner, but Victor strikes him in the head. Kruger comes in. Victor holds back Graves's arms and Kruger chops him. He whips Graves into the corner and charges, but Graves dodges and tags in Woods. Woods hits several forearm strikes and a dropkick. Woods hits the Honor Roll and Kruger rolls out of the ring. The heels all confer with Kruger. Parker and Graves take Breeze and Victor out with baseball kicks, and Woods and Neville take Conor and Kruger out with dives.

Back from commercial and Victor is in control of Woods. His knee is in Xavier's back and he's pulling his arms back. Woods fights to his feet, but Victor hits several strikes. Kruger comes in and stomps Woods in the corner. Conor comes in and mule kicks Woods in the chest. Woods battles back with strikes, but Conor puts him down. Breeze comes in to a huge pop. He strikes Woods once and runs to his corner, tagging Kruger in.

Kruger locks in Woods's head in on the mat. Woods tries to crawl to his corner. Woods gets to his feet, but Kruger brings him back to the mat. The crowd chants We Want Breeze! Woods gets out of Kruger's hold, but Kruger kicks him in the gut. Breeze comes back in, to another big pop, and kicks Woods. He strikes Woods and drops a knee on Xavier's head. Woods fights back with a gut strike, and Breeze runs back to his corner, tagging in Conor. Conor locks in a leg scissors. He drags Woods to his corner and pulls Xavier's arm back. Breeze comes back in and goes for a vertical Suplex, but Woods reverses into his own Suplex.

Conor and Parker get tagged in. Parker lands head shots and a clothesline. He leaps and hits Conor with both knees in the corner, followed by a kick to the head. Victor stops the pin attempt. Graves goes to clothesline Victor out but falls out himself. He then pulls Victor out. Back in the ring, Conor slams Parker to the mat and Neville breaks up the pin attempt. Kruger tosses Neville out of the ring and follows him. Conor charges Parker in the corner. Parker moves, but Conor hits a flapjack.

Breeze tags himself in and gets a near fall on Parker. Parker slaps Breeze in the face. Breeze goes to his corner, but the other heels drop off the apron. They then leave up the ramp, leaving Breeze alone in the ring. Parker hits Breeze hard in the face with a palm strike. The crowd chants Not the Face! Xavier Woods comes in and hits Lost in the Woods. Graves comes in and hits his running chop block to the knee. Neville comes in and hits his corkscrew shooting star press for the win.
