UFC News: Gustafsson's Next Fight Booked, Machida-Munoz Highlights, Guillard-Pearson Rematch Set

- If you didn't happen to catch UFC Fight Night 30 over the weekend, check out highlights from the main event between middleweights Lyoto Machida and Mark Munoz above.

- It looks like Alexander Gustafsson will have to fight to keep his top spot in the light heavyweight division, as it was announced over the weekend that the highly ranked Swede has been booked opposite Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in his next fight.

Many expected Gustafsson to be granted an immediate rematch against champion Jon Jones after giving the top dog his toughest test to date, but Jones was matched up against Glover Teixeira instead. Now, Gustafsson will meet Little Nog at a UFC card in London, England, on March 8 of next year. Nogueira most recently appeared in action last February where he upset Rashad Evans in a lackluster unanimous decision. He was scheduled to face Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 161 but was forced out of the bout with an injury.

Though Gustafsson lost to Jones, many felt the decision could have gone his way and his stock undoubtedly rose following the fight. Many will see this as a step back for the young Swedish contender.

- The dust had barely settled from Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson's disappointing lightweight clash at UFC Fight Night 30 before a rematch was scheduled.

The bout ended after Pearson suffered a large cut on his forehead as the result of two illegal blows landed by Guillard. While in the controversial "three-point" stance, Pearson was kneed in the head twice, ringing his bell and opening the cut. The cut required thirty stitches and was determined too severe for Pearson to fight through. As a result, the bout ended via No Contest due to accidental fouls.

Neither fighter was satisfied with the bout's ending, and UFC exec Garry Cook announced at the post-fight presser that a rematch between the two has been scheduled for the same March 8 event in London that will feature Gustafsson vs. Little Nog.
