WWE NXT Recap: Aiden English Vs. RVD, Leo Kruger Vs. Antonio Cesaro, Mojo Rawley Debuts, More
Leo Kruger vs. Antonio Cesaro
Cesaro charges Kruger and hits a big dropkick. He kicks and strikes Kruger in the corner. Kruger battles back with chops. Kruger clotheslines Cesaro to the outside. He follows and slams Cesaro's head into the apron. Cesaro battles back with kicks to the gut, but Kruger slams Cesaro's head into the apron again. They head back into the ring briefly and Kruger stomps Cesaro. Cesaro rolls to the outside. Kruger gets out and puts Cesaro back inside with his head hanging over the apron. Cesaro pulls the apron skirt over Cesaro's face and headbutts him.
Things go back in the ring and Cesaro heads to the apron. Kruger tries to keep the attack up, but Cesaro drives his shoulder into Kruger's gut. Cesaro knees Kruger in the chest. He kicks Kruger in the head and double boot stomps Kruger in the chest. He then chokes Kruger with the bottom rope. Cesaro drops an elbow. He kicks Kruger in the upper back. Cesaro goes for a Suplex, but Kruger reverses into one of his own. Kruger lands multiple strikes. He kicks Cesaro in the corner. Kruger hits a Russian leg sweep.
Kruger drops an elbow and then whips Cesaro into the corner. Cesaro reverses and hits a European uppercut. He hits Kruger with another double boot stomp. Cesaro slams him to the mat and drops an elbow. Cesaro goes up top and Kruger stops him. Kruger climbs up for a superplex and hits it. Back from commercial and Kruger hits Cesaro with a dive as Cesaro is outside the ring. Kruger tosses him inside and hits a spine buster. Kruger goes for a clothesline, but Cesaro bails to the outside. Kruger follows and Cesaro tosses him into the ring steps.
Things head back inside and Cesaro tosses Kruger to the outside. Cesaro drops Kruger on the apron and rolls back inside as the ref counts. Kruger rolls back inside and Cesaro tosses him out again. Cesaro suplexes Kruger on the ramp and rolls back inside as the ref counts again. Kruger makes it back inside at 9 ½. Cesaro hits Kruger with lefts and rights and a series of uppercuts. He slams Kruger onto his back on the mat. Cesaro signals for the Neutralizer, but Kruger fights out. Kruger charges Cesaro, but Cesaro tosses him in the air and hits an uppercut.
Cesaro locks in body scissors with a rear chin lock. Kruger fights out, but Cesaro hits a big clothesline and the Neutralizer for the win.
Winner: Antonio Cesaro
After the match, Cesaro goes up top and drops a knee on Kruger's face. He says We The People and leaves.
Charlotte (with Bayley) vs. Santana Garrett
They take turns tossing each other to the mat and working on each other's arm through a series of reverses. Charlotte whips Santana and charges, but Santana puts an elbow up. Santana drops Charlotte into the center turnbuckle and lands a snap mare. Santana kicks Charlotte in the chest for a two count. Santana hits a Russian leg sweep as Summer Rae and Sasha Banks come down to the ring. Santana has an arm bar locked in. Charlotte gets out and hits a pair of chops. Charlotte gets her splits, tripping, bridge pin thing for a near pin fall.
Banks gets up on the ring stairs and distracts Charlotte. Santana gets a roll up for a near pin fall. Charlotte picks Santana up on her shoulders, drops her face first to the mat and lets out the Flair WOOO! Charlotte hits a somersault cutter for the win.
Winner: Charlotte
Summer and Banks get in the ring. Summer says that they're a pair of beautiful, fierce females: BFFs. Summer says they are going to run NXT and all of the WWE and that there is nothing anyone can do about it. Paige runs out to the ring and attacks. Banks and Charlotte eventually get the better of Paige and Emma runs out, chasing them out of the ring.
Back from commercial and Summer and Banks are backstage. The interviewer says that Paige's return embarrassed them. Summer says she is the first lady and Sasha is the boss and that they don't get embarrassed, they get even. Summer challenges them to a tag match next week.
Danny Burch vs. Mojo Rawley
This is Mojo's TV debut. They tie up and Burch kicks Mojo in the corner. Burch tries to whip Mojo, but Mojo grabs the ropes. He charges Burch in the corner, but Burch puts an elbow up. Burch tries to slam Mojo's head into the turnbuckle, but Mojo puts his foot up on the ropes and stops him. Mojo slams him into the corner. Burch gets a head shot for a one count. He locks in Mojo's head on the mat. Burch drops a series of elbows. He locks in Mojo's head again.
Mojo gets to his feet and hits a trio of shoulder knockdowns. Mojo hits a running corner splash out of a three point stance. He hits Burch with another corner splash and then a leaping butt bump. He hits Burch with a running seated senton for the win.
Winner: Mojo Rawley
Then, Paige and Emma are backstage talking. The interviewer walks up and tells them about Summer's challenge. They accept.
Scott Dawson and Alexander Rusev vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady
Cassady and Rusev start off. They lock up and Rusev backs Cassady into the corner. Cassady reverses out and whips Rusev into another corner. He charges and Rusev puts an elbow up. Cassady hits a knee to the gut and clubs Rusev in the back. Enzo comes in. Enzo goes for a crossbody, but Rusev catches him. Rusev hits knees to the gut while holding the ropes. Dawson comes in.
Dawson hits a back elbow. He drops a leg and an elbow on Enzo. Dawson hits a snap Suplex and a clothesline. Dawson keeps the attack up and Cassady breaks up a pin attempt. Rusev hits Cassady off the apron as he is getting out. Rusev tags in and whips Enzo to the corner. He charges Enzo in the corner and locks in a camel clutch. Enzo taps.
Winners: Scott Dawson and Alexander Rusev
After the match, Cassady gets pulled back in the ring. Rusev charges Cassady in the corner and locks in the camel clutch on him as well.
Renee Young is then backstage with Sami Zayn. She asks what his plans are for Bo Dallas. He says the hard part was getting the opportunity and that next week it will just be them fighting. Bo Dallas walks up. He says it wasn't cool what Sami did and that he thought they were friends. Sami says he's sorry and that it's not personal. He says it's about the championship and that it's what he wants. Bo says he doesn't have to do this and that they should team up and go after the tag team titles. He says that they can rule NXT as friends. Sami says it's actually not a bad idea. Sami says he is in and that they should do it after he wins the NXT Championship. He says he has to do what he has to do and walks off. Dallas gets a disgusted look on his face and says unbolievable.
Rob Van Dam vs. Aiden English
They chain wrestle and English slams Van Dam to the mat. Van Dam shoves English. Van Dam trips up English and gets a two count. Van Dam goes to kick English, but English ducks. English tries to kick Van Dam. Van Dam catches his foot and kicks him in the face. Van Dam hits his monkey flip and clotheslines English out of the ring. RVD moonsaults off the apron and takes English out. He sends English inside and puts his head under the bottom rope, hanging over the apron. Van Dam leaps over the ropes and drops a leg on English's head.
English tries to call for a timeout, but Van Dam hits a body slam. He signals for Rolling Thunder, but English rolls out of the ring. Van Dam chases him around the ring and English gets back inside. English kicks the rope as Van Dam tries to get back in. He stomps on Van Dam against the ropes. English gets a vertical Suplex. He locks in Van Dam's head on the mat. Van Dam fights out. English goes for another Suplex, but Van Dam counters into a roll up. Van Dam kicks English in the face in the corner.
Van Dam hits a pair of clotheslines and a super kick. Van Dam hits Rolling Thunder. He goes up top and hits the five star frog splash for the win.
