The show opens with Michael Cole standing in the ring. He calls Triple H down for an interview. Triple H comes down and welcomes everyone to Smackdown. Cole thanks him and says he knows it’s a busy week. He asks Hunter’s thoughts on Big Show and what happened on RAW. Hunter says he hopes Show is happy because six backstage people got fired. He says Show has filed a lawsuit against them and because of that, Hunter can’t comment on him, as advised by his lawyers. He says he is focused on Hell in a Cell.

Cole asks if he is worried about Show showing up at the PPV. Hunter says what part of he can’t comment on Show does Cole not understand. Cole asks if he can talk about the returning John Cena. Hunter says he cannot wait. He says he knows what it’s like to come back from a career threatening injury and can’t wait to see the match.

Cole then brings up the WWE Championship match and how HBK guarantees a champion will be crowned. Hunter says he’s thrilled about that and how the WWE Universe chose him as the ref. Hunter says HBK is the right man for the job because he knows more than anybody about the Hell in a Cell match and what it can do.

Cole says they agree about that, but don’t agree about the man Shawn trained, Daniel Bryan. Hunter says that one thing he and Shawn can agree on is how to run the WWE and that when it’s all said and done, he knows that Shawn will do the right thing. Cole asks him what the right thing is and Daniel Bryan’s music hits. Bryan comes down to the ring.

Cole leaves. Bryan says the right thing is to let he and Orton settle things once and for all, regardless of what anyone else does. Bryan says inside the Cell, no one gets in and no one gets out until there is a definitive winner. Bryan says he knows HBK is Hunter’s best friend, but he knows that he won’t favor anyone. Bryan says that when Shawn does, Bryan is going to prove Hunter wrong and become the new WWE Champ and new face of the WWE. He and Hunter stare each other down.

The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family

Rowan and Jimmy start off. Rowan plows Jimmy over and strikes him in the corner. Harper comes in and lands a big boot. Harper keeps the attack up. He hits Jimmy with a body slam. Jimmy runs and tag in Jay. Jay gets a super kick and a Samoan drop. Jay stays in control and both Usos end up hitting dives to the outside. Harper gets a big boot on one of the Usos. Bray looks like he is going to get involved. Miz gets up from commentary and attacks him. Rowan chases Miz up the ramp. Back in the ring, the Usos double team Harper for the quick win.

Winners: The Usos

AJ Lee (with Tamina Snuka) vs. Nikki Bella (with Brie Bella)

They lock up and AJ shoves Nikki. Nikki drop toe holds AJ. AJ bails to the outside. AJ snaps Nikki’s neck on the top rope. She gets back inside and chokes Nikki on the center rope. AJ slams Nikki to the mat for a one count. She locks in Nikki’s head. Nikki fights out and lands several clotheslines. She tosses AJ into the corner. Nikki charges, but AJ moves. On the outside, Tamina and Brie fight. Tamina tosses her into the steel steps. Back in the ring, AJ locks in the Black Widow. Nikki taps.

Winner: AJ Lee

AJ taunts Brie after the match.

Back from commercial and Bray Wyatt is shown backstage. He asks the camera to follow him. The Wyatt Family has Miz chained up with LIAR written on his chest. He says now the Miz will know what it means to follow the buzzards.

3MB vs. Los Matadores

The Real Americans come out before the match. McIntyre and Diego start off. McIntyre comes out on top and Slater tags in. He keeps up the attack for a few moments and McIntyre comes back in. 3MB double team him and McIntyre locks in Diego’s arm. He knees Diego in the gut. Diego gets free and tags Fernando in. Fernando knocks McIntyre down several times. He leaps off top and takes McIntyre out. Slater gets hit off the apron. Diego comes in and the Matadores double team McIntyre for the win.

Winners: Los Matadores

After the match, El Torito attacks Jinder Mahal and takes him out with a springboard moonsault. Zeb Colter takes up a mic and asks what type of men kidnap another man and make him dress like a bull. He says at Hell in a Cell, the Real Americans will prevail.

Handicap No DQ Match
Ryback and Paul Heyman vs. CM Skunk

Skunk punches and kicks Ryback. Ryback shoves him to the mat and rams him in the corner twice. Ryback powerbombs him twice. Paul Heyman tags in. Heyman grabs a Kendo stick from under the ring. Heyman hits Skunk repeatedly in the back with it. Ryback comes in and hits the meat hook clothesline. Heyman holds up the cane like Sandman as Ryback hits Shell Shocked. Heyman stands on Skunk’s face to pin him.

Winners: Paul Heyman and Ryback

Heyman says they are deadly serious. He says that Ryback will use every inch of the cell like a weapon and scrape Punk’s face across every inch of a cell. Heyman says once Ryback is done, he will pin him again and show that he is the best in the world.

Vickie Guerrero is backstage laughing at CM Skunk. Langston walks up. He says since Miz is out of the main event, he wants his spot. He says he deserves the shot. Vickie says she will run it by Triple H. Langston asks if Vickie runs the show and if he accidentally walked into Brad Maddox’s office. Vickie gets angry and allows Langston to replace Miz.

Alberto Del Rio comes out. He says that this Sunday he is going to prove Cena isn’t ready to face him. He calls himself a real life Mexican super hero and that he stands for the Mexican way. In Mexico, they’re building monuments and having parades in honor of him. He calls Cena the perfect representation of a gringo. He says that this Sunday he is going to put him in the cross armbreaker and never let go. He says that the gringos in the crowd and the peasants in his country have one thing in common, they can kiss his butt. He then waves a Mexican flag around.

Then, R Truth starts doing another merchandise segment like the one from Monday, but Santino Marella walks up and asks if he can do it. Santino then does a merchandise promo of his own.

The Great Khali (with Natalya and Hornswoggle) vs. Fandango (with Summer Rae)

Fandango chops Khali. Khali hits a chop to the head. He slams Fandango’s head into the corner and hits a chest chop. He takes Fandango to another corner and hits another chest chop. Fandango goes to the apron and kicks Khali. He strikes Khali in the corner and charges. Khali puts a boot up. Khali lands a pair of clotheslines. Summer gets up on the apron to distract Khali. Fandango takes Khali’s legs out. Summer and Natalya start fighting. Their fight spews into the ring and the ref calls for the bell.

No Contest

Khali hits Fandango with a big chop to the head after the match. Then, Summer and Fandango escape up the ramp.

Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Daniel Bryan and Big E. Langston vs. The Shield and Randy Orton

Ambrose and Cody start off. Cody kicks Ambrose in the corner. He whips Ambrose into another corner and then works on his arm. Goldust comes in and drops a forearm. He strikes Ambrose several times. Cody comes back in with a punch to the back. Cody tosses him outside.

Back from commercial and Langston hits Rollins with a belly to belly. Cody comes in and gets a quick pin attempt. He strikes Rollins in the head. Rollins comes back by dropping Cody’s head into the center turnbuckle. Reigns comes in and slams Cody’s head into the corner. He whips Cody and charges. Cody puts a boot up. Bryan comes in. He dragon screws Reigns and attacks his knee. Langston comes back in and drives his shoulder into Reigns’s stomach. Goldust comes in and takes Reigns to the corner. He hits a few strikes and Reigns comes back by whipping Goldust. Goldust moves when Reigns charges and lands a crossbody from up top.

Cody comes in and Reigns is able to take Cody to his corner. Ambrose comes in and punches Cody in the corner. He drives his shoulder into Cody’s gut and drags his face against the ropes. Orton comes in mounts Cody in the corner. He punches Cody a few times. Cody comes back and gets a pin attempt. He slams Orton to the mat and stomps his chest. Goldust comes in and hits corner strikes. Goldust gets a two count. Cody back in with head strikes and a pin attempt. Orton rakes Cody’s face in the corner and tosses him on the ropes.

Orton tosses Cody outside. Ambrose comes in sends Cody into the barrier. He stomps Cody’s chest. Orton comes back in and circles Cody. He drops a knee, but Cody rolls out of the way. Cody mounts Orton in the corner and punches him several times. Orton reverses out and hits an inverted headlock backbreaker. Cody rolls to the outside.

Back from commercial and Reigns hits Cody with a vertical Suplex. Ambrose comes in and hits a shot to the gut. Rollins comes in and stomps on Cody’s back. Cody fights back with a shot to the head. He tries to crawl between Rollins’s legs. Rollins drags him to his corner and Ambrose comes in. Ambrose charges and Cody puts a boot up. Reigns comes in and Cody hits a dropkick. Rollins comes in and leaps off the top rope. Cody hits a shot to the stomach and tags in Goldust. Goldust hits his uppercut. Reigns tags in and takes it to Goldust.

Ambrose back in with a headbutt. He drives his shoulder into Goldust’s stomach repeatedly. Rollins comes back in briefly. Orton comes in and kicks Goldust to the mat. Reigns comes in. He and Rollins try to double team, but Goldust hits a double springboard back elbow. Bryan comes in and kicks Orton off the apron. He attacks Ambrose and then kicks Reigns and Rollins off the apron. Bryan attacks Ambrose again and then hits Orton with a dive. He goes up top and hits Ambrose with a missile dropkick.

Bryan hits several kicks and locks in the Yes Lock. Reigns breaks the submission and Langston takes Reigns out. The heels and faces take turns taking each other out with big moves. Cody eventually comes out on top by hitting Reigns and Rollins with a dive to the outside. Back in the ring, Bryan goes for a corner dropkick but Ambrose moves. Orton tags in and hits his draping DDT. He signals for the RKO. Langston comes in and Orton tries to RKO him. Langston shoves Orton into Bryan’s flying knee to the head for the win.
