UFC News: Dana White Takes Swipe At Bellator, Bjorn Responds, Rousey Almost Nixed From TUF

- Cat Zingano was initially set to coach the latest run of The Ultimate Fighter opposite Cat Zingano, but an injury to her would-be opponent changed things. UFC brass brought in Miesha Tate to replace Zingano, in a move that initially had Rousey fuming.

As you can see in the clip above, Rousey was nearly beside herself when Tate was brought in as a coach — but not for the reasons you'd expect. As was revealed on a recent recap episode of TUF, UFC president Dana White had reached an impasse with Rousey's attorney over contract negotiations shortly before Zingano was injured. As a result, Rousey actually thought Tate had been brought in to replace her against Zingano.

"We were having contractual disputes about the show and Dana said that he was considering throwing me off the show and replacing me," Rousey explained (props to BJPenn.com for the transcription). "We all ended up reaching an agreement at the very end, but the last thing Dana ever said to me is, 'I don't know what we're going to do.'

"How would I have known that Cat Zingano blew her knee out? Miesha even said that she was supposed to be purposely vague and let me reach my own conclusions about it," she went on. "And it wasn't very nice."

- UFC president Dana White has been openly critical toward rival promotion Bellator on many issues, including the unfortunate legal dispute with lightweight fighter Eddie Alvarez. White has very clearly come out on Alvarez's side and took a jab at Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney this weekend when the fighter reclaimed his lightweight title from Michael Chandler in the Bellator 106 main event.

"I'm hearing Djork oops Bjork got served a big fat plate of Karma tonight :) Congrats Eddie!!," White posted. "I like Eddie. He got f****d big time and I'm glad he won."

Not to be outdone, Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney responded to White at the event's post-fight press conference.

"You know what, I've kind of picked my spots where I thought it was necessary to respond," Rebney said (props to MMAFighting). "Some of his valuation comments were ridiculous given that his partner [FOX] paid us tens of millions of dollars for our rights in Latin America and some of the other things.

"I don't know what karma is," Rebney continued. "If karma is that we just put on the best mixed martial arts fight I've ever seen, that's karma I'll take big boatloads of."
