- Former light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida recently made good on his middleweight debut, knocking out Mark Munoz in the first round of their Ultimate Fight Night 30 contest last week. Now, less than two weeks removed from the bout, The Dragon has received his next assignment: Gegard Mousasi.

Mousasi was vocal in requesting a bout against Machida and has had his wish granted, with their bout scheduled for February 8 in Brazil. As Machida just did, Mousasi will be dropping from light heavyweight to middleweight for the first time in his short UFC career. The former Strikeforce and DREAM light heavyweight champ made his UFC debut last April, earning a unanimous decision win over late replacement Ilir Latifi.

- The unfortunate scuffle between UFC competitor Uriah Hall and notable MMA personality Jason "Mayhem" Miller has received plenty of attention at this point. Up until recently though, no one had heard from Hall's perspective what happened at the BAMMA event that led to the highly publicized incident. MMAWeekly spoke with Hall recently to get his take.

Hall, who attended the event to support a teammate, happened upon a situation involving another group of his teammates and "Mayhem" Miller. His teammates were surrounding a girl in protection from an aggressive Mayhem. Hall's reaction went from confused to angry as Miller quickly turned his attention to him and began yelling racial slurs.

"Initially, I saw a big bald-headed dude. Then it hit me that it was Mayhem Miller. I was a little star struck, at first," Hall explained. "He was yelling at me though, and wanted to talk to the girl. I guess it was his ex. I tried to stay calm and just diffuse things. I was still kind of shocked that it was all happening."

Eventually, Miller pushed Hall to the point that he took a glancing swing at Miller before the two were separated by security. Though Miller continued his racially-charged taunting of Hall through social media, Hall has let things go to focus on his impending bout against Chris Leben. He told MMAWeekly that he genuinely hopes Miller "gets the help that he needs before it gets worse."
