Former WWE Writer Joins ROH, Boxing Legend Out Of Match, Jim Cornette On Why He Left, IZW

- Preston City Wrestling owner Steven Fludder sent us word that the scheduled upcoming wrestling match for boxing legend Riddick Bowe at Road To Glory 2014 is off "due to crooked agent dealings." According to a press release, Bowe's new management, Regis Talent Management, wanted to change Bowe's fee that was agreed to by his former agent, Jose Melendez of New World Sports Management. In addition to raising the fee by $4000, they requested that Mark Regis of Regis Talent Management accompany Mr. Bowe to the UK at the cost of PCW. Fludder refused, and Melendez returned his original deposit.

Fludder said that Mark Regis of Regis Talent Management then stated that he would honor the original agreement, and asked him to send back 50% of the deposit. Fludder received several missed calls and PayPal invoices, and noted that "the desperation was obvious." Fludder finally replied and told them that he will not deal with people that he can't trust.

AJ Styles is now scheduled to appear in Bowe's stead at Road To Glory 2014 on February 28, 2014. You can get more information by clicking here.

- Total Wrestling Magazine out of the UK recently interviewed Jim Cornette. During the interview, Cornette revealed why he left ROH.

"I left Ring of Honor when I realized we had lost our chance at making a good first impression and many of our wounds were self-inflicted. I'm not even talking about booking or creative, I am talking about the structure of the company and what I thought was going to go on before the purchase and what was executed after the purchase."

- Speaking of ROH, a big congrats to my fellow Wrestling Inc. Weekly podcast host Court Bauer, who recently joined the company. Bauer, a TV producer, brand developer and former WWE creative executive, joined Ring of Honor on Saturday at the company's year-end show, Final Battle in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom. As noted, the event also saw another WWE alum pop up as Chris Hero returned to the company in a big surprise in the closing minutes of the show, following Adam Cole retaining the ROH World Title against Michael Elgin and Jay Briscoe. The event is available on demand at ROHWrestling.com.

- WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross also sent his congrats to Bauer, writing on his Twitter:
