TNA Live Event Results From NY (12/28): Champion Injured?, Magnus Defends, Kurt Angle Headlines

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Wes Mantooth for sending in these results from tonight's TNA live event at NYCB Theatre at Westbury in Long Island, NY:

* TNA X Division Champion Austin Aries defeated Chris Sabin.

* Lei'D Tapa defeated Velvet Sky with Earl Hebner as special guest referee. Hebner wore Bret Hart sunglasses. The crowd loved Tapa.

* EC3 issued an open challenge, which was answered by Tommy Dreamer. EC3 won.

* The Bromans defended the TNA Tag Team Championship against Eric Young and Joseph Park. It appeared that Godderz messed up his knee. The Bromanns went to suplex Park and he went down, and Robbie E came in out of nowhere without a tag. But there was a good 5-10 seconds between all of it. Robbie E hit a shot to the nuts of Park followed by a rollup for the win. There was no post match celebration as Godderz limped around ring and Robbie E kind of helped him for a bit until he could walk on his own power.

There was an announcement made that Earl Hebner has reffed 10,000 matches.

After intermission, Tazz cut a promo on Jeremy Borash.

* TNA World Champion Magnus defeated Samoa Joe.

* Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson was really quick. The finish was botched in tables match as Bully went through a table and then he had to go through another for the finish.

* Kurt Angle defeated Bobby Roode with James Storm as special guest referee. Storm hit Roode with a superkick into an Angle Slam for the min. Roode got massive heat.
