WWE On Why They Chose Levi's Stadium For WrestleMania 31, When Will Tickets Go On Sale?

The San Jose Mercury News has an article about the San Francisco 49ers new $1.3 billion Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA hosting WrestleMania 31 in 2015. In an interview with the newspaper, WWE Executive Vice President John Saboor said that the stadium and the "incredible facilities" in Silicon Valley won them over. Vince McMahon promised that the event would provide fans the "most interactive experience in WrestleMania history."

"The vision for the stadium has always been to bring together all that is special about the Bay Area through the use of innovation and technology," said 49ers CEO Jed York in a statement. "WWE is certainly a model for innovation as they have perfectly blended the worlds of sports and entertainment. We look forward to providing the most technologically-integrated WrestleMania experience ever."

Tickets for the event will not be available until late next year. As noted earlier, McMahon and John Cena will be attending a press conference on Tuesday morning in Santa Clara to make the formal announcement. York, 49ers tight end Vernon Davis and other officials will also be present at the event.
