Smackdown opens with Michael Cole and JBL on commentary.
Randy Orton comes down to the ring. He cuts a promo about the main event of TLC and how he will beat John Cena and overcome what he did to him on RAW. Footage from the contract signing is then shown. He doesn’t like anyone in the back, but he does revere the Authority. He publicly apologizes to the Authority for taking them for granted sometimes.
Daniel Bryan’s music hits. He comes down to the ring and takes up a mic. Bryan thinks that Orton needs to apologize to the fans for impersonating a champion. He brings up that not once did Orton legitimately beat him during their rivalry. Bryan hasn’t forgotten it, and he’s not done with Orton. Whoever wins at TLC, Bryan is going to be at the front of the line waiting for a shot. He challenges Orton to a match for old times sake. Orton says no. Bryan asks the fans what they want, and everyone chants yes as Orton gets out of the ring and leaves up the ramp.
Back from commercial and Orton vs. Bryan is announced for later.
Fandango vs. Big E. Langston
Damien Sandow is on commentary for this match. Langston back drops Fandango. He rams his shoulder into Fandango’s gut in the corner. Langston charges, and Fandango puts a boot up. Langston shoves him out of the ring. He follows, and Fandango hits a clothesline. He sends Langston back inside. Fandango attacks Langston with kicks and strikes. Langston comes back with several clotheslines and a belly to belly Suplex. Langston hits his running splash. He goes for the Big Ending, but Fandango counters with a dropkick. He knees Langston in the head. Fandango goes up top, and Langston tosses him off. Langston hits Fandango with a body avalanche, and then the Big Ending for the win.
Winner: Big E. Langston
Sandow gets into the ring after the match, and he and Langston stare each other down.
Then, the opening to WWE Smackdown is shown, but from WWE 2K14.
Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel
Cody and Ryback start off. Ryback hits a knee to the gut. He clubs Cody in the back. Cody comes back with a few kicks. Goldust tags in and keeps up the offense briefly. Ryback drops Goldust on the ropes. Ryback goes up top and hits a splash. Axel tags in and drops an elbow. He kicks Goldust in the corner. Ryback comes in. He whips Axel into Goldust and then hits Goldust with a body avalanche. Axel comes in. He locks in Goldust’s head from behind on the mat. Goldust gets to his feet. Axel goes for a dropkick, but Goldust hangs onto the ropes. Goldust gets a pin attempt. Goldust hits a powerslam.
Cody tags in and hits Axel with a missile dropkick. He goes for a disaster kick, but Axel dodges. Cody gets a quick pin attempt. Axel charges, but Cody sidesteps, sending Axel’s shoulder into the turnbuckle. Cody goes up and hits a moonsault. Ryback breaks up the pin attempt and Goldust clotheslines him outside. Cody goes outside and hits Ryback with a disaster kick. He goes to enter the ring, and Axel rolls him up for the win.

Back from commercial and Bad News Barrett cuts a promo insulting the crowd.
Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston
Del Rio attacks Kingston when he gets into the ring and climbs up top to play to the crowd. He sends Kingston into the barrier and stomps him. Del Rio sends him in the ring and Superkicks him in the head. Del Rio locks in the cross arm breaker and refs pull him off.
Then, the Shield appear on the TitanTron and cut a promo about CM Punk where they talk about not completely destroying Punk tonight so that he can make it to TLC and they all can finish the job. Roman Reigns says it’s going to take the baddest man in the Shield to defeat Punk tonight, and Dean Ambrose says in other words, me.
CM Punk vs. Dean Ambrose
Punk locks in a side headlock and takes Ambrose to the mat. Ambrose counters out and locks in a head scissors. Punk gets out and takes Ambrose back to the mat. Ambrose gets back to his feet. Punk goes for a kick, but Ambrose grabs the ropes. Punk hits a big boot. Punk lands four running leg drops in a row. Ambrose comes back with a knee to the gut against the ropes. He rubs his forearm against Punk’s face in the corner, and hits a clothesline. Punk lands a heel kick to the face. Punk goes for the swinging neckbreaker, but Ambrose slips out. Punk picks Axel up on his shoulders, but Ambrose fights off with a rib shot. Punk tries for a backdrop to the outside, but Ambrose lands on the apron. Punk goes for a kick, and Ambrose dodges by dropping to the floor as things go to commercial.
Back from commercial and Ambrose is in control. He drops an elbow on Punk and lands right hands to the face. Ambrose locks Punk’s arm behind his back and applies a headlock. Punk fights out. Ambrose goes up and leaps off for an elbow, but Punk rolls out of the way. Punk lands a springboard clothesline. Punk hits the running high knee in the corner, followed by a clothesline. Punk goes for the swinging neckbreaker, but Ambrose counters into a backslide pin attempt. Ambrose locks in a sleeper hold. Punk shoves him off and locks in the anaconda vice. Ambrose gets his foot under the rope and the ref breaks the hold.
Punk lands a body slam. He goes up top and Ambrose lands punches and chops. Ambrose climbs up and suplexes Punk off. He locks Punk in an arm bar. Punk gets his foot on the rope, and the ref breaks the hold. Ambrose argues with the ref, and Punk rolls him up from behind for a near pin fall. He kicks Ambrose in the head. He signals for the GTS. Ambrose wiggles off his shoulders twice. Ambrose gets a roll up for a near pin fall. Ambrose goes for the headlock driver, but Punk kicks him in the head and hits the GTS for the win.
Winner: CM Punk
Then, Renee Young is backstage with Rey Mysterio. Young asks Mysterio what it would mean to hold both the World Heavyweight and WWE Championships at the same time. Mysterio talks about how big it would be, and the Real Americans walk up and interrupt. Zeb Colter introduces himself. He asks Mysterio what he’s running from with the mask. He has never seen Rey’s papers proving he’s a citizen, so he thinks Mysterio’s reigns as champion should be stricken from the books. Mysterio says he was born and raised in San Diego, and calls them all hypocrites. Colter challenges him to a match, Rey and a partner of his choosing vs. the Real Americans.
Tamina Snuka vs. Natalya
AJ Lee is on commentary for this match. Natalya takes control early on. She hits Tamina with a discus clothesline. Tamina comes back and attacks Natalya on the outside. She sends Natalya back in and locks in her head from behind. She pulls Natalya’s arms behind her back. Natalya kicks out, but Tamina rams her into the corner. Tamina charges, but Natalya moves. Natalya hits a clothesline and a dropkick to the face. She rolls Tamina up and gets a two count. Natalya tries to lock in the Sharpshooter, but Tamina counters out and hits a Samoan drop. She goes up for the Superfly splash, but Natalya moves. Natalya pins Tamina for the win.
Natalya stares AJ down after the match.
Then, the Funkadactyls do a WWE Shop segment.
Rey Mysterio and Big Show vs. the Real Americans
Show and Swagger start off. Show hits a chop. Mysterio tags in. He hits Swagger with a hurricanrana. Swagger comes back with a German Suplex. Cesaro tags in and kicks Mysterio in the corner. Swagger tags in and distracts the ref, allowing Cesaro to get a cheap shot in. Mysterio battles out of the corner, but Swagger tosses him to the outside. Cesaro tags in and knees Mysterio on the gut, on the outside. He tosses Mysterio back in and gets a two count. Swagger tags in and keeps the offense up. Mysterio hits a DDT. Swagger tags in Cesaro. He tries to knock Show off the apron before Mysterio can tag in, but Show grabs his throat and shoves him away. Mysterio tags in Show.
Show lands multiple clotheslines. He hits Cesaro with a big back body drop. Swagger tries to attack Show, but Show sends him outside. Show hits Cesaro with a spear, and Swagger breaks up the pin attempt. Mysterio hits Swagger with the 619. Show chokeslams Cesaro and tags Mysterio in. Mysterio stands up on Show’s shoulders and hits Cesaro with a splash for the win.

Then, Bad News Barrett delivers another promo, this time about how whichever wrestler wins the TLC main event will be the envy of the locker room and is doomed to destruction.
Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton
They lock up and shove each other around the ring. Orton locks in a side headlock and hits a shoulder tackle. Bryan lands a knee to the gut that flips Orton over. He kicks Orton in the corner. Orton counters with headbutts. Bryan fights back with right hands to the head. He kicks Orton in the corner again and then goes to work on his arm. Orton stomps on Bryan’s head. He goes for a knee drop, but Bryan moves and hits several kicks. Bryan dropkicks Orton to the outside and runs towards the ropes for a dive. Orton moves as things go to commercial.
Back from commercial and Orton drops a knee on Bryan. He locks in Bryan’s head from behind. Bryan gets to his feet. Orton hits a knee to the gut. Orton steps on Bryan’s stomach, and then lands a vertical Suplex. Orton whips Bryan into the corner, and Bryan scales it and backflips out. Bryan hits a flying clothesline. Bryan hits his running corner dropkick twice. He sets Orton up top and hurricanranas him off. Orton charges. Bryan pulls the ropes down and Orton falls outside. Bryan hits Orton with a dive. He sends Orton back inside the ring.
Bryan goes up top and hits a missile dropkick. He kicks Orton repeatedly in the chest. Orton ducks a head kick and lands his snap scoop powerslam for a near pin fall. Orton sends Bryan to the apron and hits his draping DDT. Orton signals for the RKO. Bryan counters into a backslide pin attempt. He kicks Orton in the head and goes up top and the arena goes black. When the lights come on, Harper and Rowan are at ringside, staring at Bryan. Bryan gets down from the top and stares at them. Orton hits the RKO off the distraction for the win.

Orton leaves and Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. He cuts another promo asking Bryan to join him and the Wyatt Family.
