- UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman's next opponent appears to be Vitor Belfort, who was in attendance at UFC 168. The date for Weidman-Belfort is currently unknown, as the champion stated he needs to have his knee looked at after the Silva fight due to a possible tear.

In the video above, Belfort declared, "Getting my middleweight belt is about making history. I have a mission, and I'm about to accomplish that mission."

- One member of the Anderson Silva family hopes "Daddy" Anderson stays away from the Octagon. Kalyl Silva, his son, posted on Instagram that "hopefully he retires and come home.. cuz I'm tire of my dad training all day, and going away for 2 or 3 months... a broken leg happens... and as always, you are MY champion dad." He also expressed respect to Weidman, writing, "your turn to be a legend."

- Silva, a former UFC middleweight champion, has provided another update on his recovery, posting a photo of himself with his family. Silva suffered a broken leg in a recent loss to Weidman at UFC 168. "The Spider" is already asking about a return to training, which looks like mid-2014 according to reports.
