Last-Minute Royal Rumble Preview: Highlighting Matches, Batista A Lock To Win RR?

Tonight, WWE presents its 27th Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Each year, it is considered the official launch to the road to WrestleMania, with the winner of the Royal Rumble match getting a guaranteed main event opportunity to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30. Outside of the Royal Rumble match, a few intense feuds have transpired throughout the preceding weeks, leading to scheduled matches at the PPV.

Randy Orton vs. John Cena
After having an intense rivalry for the WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton had the tough test of competing against Big Show at Survivor Series for the title. Despite close calls, Big Show was unable to win the title due to a distraction from Triple H which led to an RKO and pinfall. After the match, John Cena came to the ring and engaged in a staredown with Orton.

Cena revealed on the following Raw that it was time that the titles were unified. This led to a unification match at the TLC PPV, which Orton won. Cena is capitalizing on his rematch clause, and the stage is set for their Royal Rumble contest.

Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt
It all started shortly before Survivor Series. After feuds with the Miz and Kofi Kingston, the Wyatt Family was determined to make a bigger mark in the WWE by going after two of the company's top babyfaces – Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. After gaining a victory at Survivor Series against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, CM Punk commenced a feud with the Shield, but Bray Wyatt targeted Bryan to join the family. This mission was successful at the final episode of Raw in 2013, as Daniel Bryan made the decision to join.

This did not last long, as just two weeks later, Bryan left the group after a steel cage match against the Usos. This led to Daniel Bryan calling out Bray Wyatt to a match at the Royal Rumble, which Bray accepted.

Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show
Also on the last episode of Raw in 2013, Brock Lesnar made his WWE return after a four-month absence. Paul Heyman made it clear that he is gunning for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Brock showed his intimidation by challenging anyone from the back to stand toe-to-toe with him. After a pause, Mark Henry's music hits, and he walks down to the ring. Unfortunately, for Henry, he did not gain much of an advantage on Lesnar. In fact, he was the recipient of an F5 on the floor, as well as a Kimura lock the following week.

As a puffed-up Brock Lesnar made his way to go backstage, he was interrupted by Big Show, who forced him back in the ring and tossed him across the ring. The following week, Big Show and Brock Lesnat brawled again, with Big Show tossing Lesnar outside the ring. The last few weeks has been enough to create a high level of intensity for this match, as this will be their second time competing against each other at the Royal Rumble.

Here is your opportunity to sound off. Keep these burning questions in mind:
1. Will someone other than Batista win the RR match?
2. Will Bray Wyatt defeat Daniel Bryan to gain steam for his rumored match against John Cena at WrestleMania?
3. What about this PPV is not predictable?
