WWE Live Event Results From Greensboro (1/4): Cena Vs. Orton, NXT Prospect In Action, Ziggler Wins

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Curt Madden ( @Maddeninsane86 ) for sending in these results from last night's WWE live event in Greensboro, NC:

Justin Roberts is our ring announcer kicking the event off in Greensboro, NC. A graphic appears with the Bella Twins, Aksana and Alicia Fox. Roberts announces that the WWE universe will have the choice of a dance off or a divas match between the two teams.

Ryback vs. Sin Cara

The match started off with Ryback dominating Sin cara. Sin cara started to gain momentum and reversed the shell shock into a nice pin for the upset victory.

Winner: Sin Cara

Alexander Rusev vs. Zack Ryder

Rusev looked dangerous for most of the match. Ryder did his usual signature moves in what looked to be a come from behind victory. However, when he went for the Rough Ryder he was caught and slammed violently to the mat. Rusev locked up Ryder in the camel clutch and Ryder quickly submits.

Winner by submission: Alexander Rusev

The Bella Twins vs. Aksana and Alicia Fox

Typical divas match, quick! Brie showed the most emotion coming in off hot tag screaming "come on Greensboro" before hitting an X-factor followed by a three count victory over Alicia Fox.

Winners: The Bella Twins

Curtis Axel vs. The Great Khali

Axel delayed the start of the match by toying with Khali acting like he was going to collide with the giant and then quickly exiting the ring. Axel started out strong keeping Khali on the mat for a while. Khali gains his second wind and executes his signature chops before pinning Axel for the victory.

Winner: The Great Khali

Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler

Del Rio got some pretty good heat by taunting the fans, acting as if he is going to throw his shirt in the crowd before eventually throwing it on to the floor outside of the ring. Good back and forth match. Del Rio signaled for the armbar and about had it until Ziggler reversed and hit him with the zig zag for the pin!

Ziggler acted like he was dizzy afterwards stumbling up the ramp. He hugged everyone he saw wearing Ziggler gear. Then he hugged senior referee Mike Chioda before leaving.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

WWE tag team championship: Cody Rhodes and Goldust (c) vs. The Real Americans

Best wrestling match of the night. Cesaro and Swagger worked well as a team, pushing Goldust to the limit. Goldust stayed in the match for a good 10 minutes before finally making the hot tag to Cody. Cody comes in fired up and hits his signature moves. Cesaro tries to hold Rhodes on the ropes outside before Goldust knocks him off. Cody then hits Swagger with Cross Rhodes to get the victory.

Winners: Cody Rhodes and Goldust

Intermission.

Tensai vs. Brodus Clay

This match didn't really get off the ground before the lights turned out.... Kane's music hits. He comes down to the ring and cleans house on both men. Afterwards he picks up the microphone and goes on about how the people in the arena are where they are because they couldn't handle being in a position of authority. He then talks about how he just took out two of the largest athletes in WWE... but not the largest athlete. He then demands that Big Show get down to the ring. Big Show's music hits and the crowd goes crazy!

Big Show vs. Kane

Show stayed on the mat for the better part of the match. A few ground holds before Show gets up and makes his comeback. Kane eventually gets fed up and exits the ring to take the ring announcers chair. He enters the ring and raises the chair. Show hits him with the Knockout punch and gets the pin fall.

Winner: The Big Show

Main Event:
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: John Cena vs. Randy Orton (c)

Match begins with Orton taking advantage. The fight spills outside the ring where Orton whips Cena into the steel steps. Orton stomped Cena's head while Cena's head was resting on the steps. The two get back into the ring and the match got better. Cena attempts an AA but Orton escapes. Orton then takes advantage wearing Cena out. Orton tries for the RKO but Cena pushes him into the ref and the ref goes down. Cena locks in the STF and Orton taps! However the ref didn't see it and the crowd and Cena are upset. Orton ends up hitting the RKO on Cena afterward. The ref recovers for a slow 1... 2... kick out! Cena recovers and hits the AA, only for Orton to kick out after 2. Orton eventually gets fed up with it and low blows Cena and gets disqualified. Orton taunts and sees cena on the mat and tries to go for the punt but misses. Cena gets up and hits the AA to send the fans home happy.

Winner by DQ: John Cena

Decent house show with a decent crowd. Not sure why they split the talent up and had guys like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk in Virginia tonight. Still had fun because it was my daughters first WWE event.

Loudest pop: Cena (a lot of "Let's go cena, Cena sucks" chants)

Match of the night: The Rhodes Brothers vs. The Real Americans

Most heat: Randy Orton
