WWE Stopping Outside Groups From Running WrestleMania 31 Week, More From Mick Foley
- WWE is already taking steps against outside promotions running events for WrestleMania 31 weekend in Santa Clara, California. As part of their deal running in the market, WWE has locked in a no-compete with all city-owned facilities int he area as well as several large hotel chains.
Promoters who usually run conventions and wrestling shows during WrestleMania week have been told that the non-competes won't allow any wrestling events to be held in those venues.
- We noted before that Mick Foley blogged about wanting to throw a brick through his TV over the way WWE handled Daniel Bryan and the Royal Rumble. Foley says TMZ wanted to document the protest. He tweeted:
"Thanks to everyone for the huge outpouring of RT's, favorites and comments tonight. Maybe, just MAYBE our voices will be heard by @WWE."
"Just got word that @TMZ would like to record the throwing of a brick through my TV in protest over @WWEDanielBryan not winning #RoyalRumble"
