TNA Live Event Results From Dekalb (2/8): Magnus Defends In A Cage, Wolves In Action, More
Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader @TheCountout for sending in these results from last night's TNA live event in Dekalb, IL:
There was tough weather going on in the area which might of affected attendance, but nonetheless the attendance was around 750 people.
* James Storm defeated EC3 with the Last Call. A decent opener, the crowd was great throughout this match and the whole show for that matter. The best part was when James and Ethan were arguing about which was better, beer or wine.
* Velvet Sky defeated Gail Kim in another average match. Nothing to really say about it besides that.
* The Wolves defeated The Bromans by DQ in a Tag Team Titles match. Phenomenal match, this was the first time I've ever seen the The Wolves in action and they were awesome and definitely lived up to the hype. The Bromans were awesome as well. The match was fast paced and had numerous awesome spots, both teams looked great and I can't wait to see what the future holds for these men. MATCH OF THE NIGHT!
* Bobby Roode def. Gunner via roll up. Great match that had a solid pace throughout, Roode played his role perfectly, and Gunner did good as well.
* Mr. Anderson defeated Bully Ray in a 2 out of 3 falls match. A decent match that started off with Bully taking out Anderson with a steel chain and then pinning him for the first fall. Bully then proceeded to argue with the ref until Anderson rolled him up for the second fall. Then they had an ok back and forth match that saw Anderson hit the mic check to win, nothing really special.
* Magnus defeated Samoa Joe in a Steel Cage Match for the World Title via pin after EC3 slammed the cage into Joe. The match was really short and the cage was very flimsy and my brother and I thought it might fall over at anytime. The match was alright though.
Afterwards EC3 came into the ring to taunt Joe, but then Joe took out all his frustrations on EC3 to send the crowd home happy. Also Joe signed autographs/took pictures afterwards for $20.
Overall, I had a lot of fun at this event and so did those in the arena. I thought there might of been more people at the even considering it was held in a College Town (NIU) but the snowstorm probably affected that. We didn't go to the meet and great but we still got autographs from Brian Hebner and Stiffler, as well as the monster himself, Dewey Barnes!
